CA DATACOM support in MicroFocus COBOL

Hello,

Currently we are using COBOL and DATACOM as database. Is Micro Focus COBOL supports DATACOM ??

    Hello Subbu,

    DATACOM is not one of the Databases directly supported in Visual COBOL. You can see this link in the Visual COBOL Documentation for a list of supported Databases, and the product versions providing that support.

    Could you add a bit more information about where you are using COBOL and DATACOM? Is this an IBM zOS/mainframe application that you are looking to migrate to Windows or Linux? 

    If so, it is unlikely there is a distributed version of DATACOM to support. The calls to DATACOM APIs or entry points would need to be supported by having the Database vendor libraries available on that platform. I don't believe the DATACOM DB and/or client libraries are available on Windows or Linux.

    Hi Michael, currently we are using DATACOM in zos. We would like to use Micro Focus COBOL and DATACOM.
