Problem:

Eclipse crashes when editing remote cobol source files outside of the IDE

Resolution:

Starting eclipse.exe with the -clean option will resolve this issue.

Certain cache/settings can cause this problem. For example, files may not be cached correctly if a remote connection failed. Clearing and resetting the cache resolves this problem.
