New to COBOL, I'm a student and im required to download this program for my Business Systems Programminv class. But im not able to install the program because it says that I'm in need of a 32-Bit Oracle Java 1.6 or higher. Can anyone help me find this? I've downloaded the latest Java that I think it is requesting and that's at version 8.

Java 1.6 is also known as Java 6, Java 1.7 is also known as Java 7.
The Visual COBOL for Eclipse uses the Eclipse 3.8 framework and is known compatible with Java 1.6 or Java 6, or Java 1.7. or Java 7. You can try the Java 1.8 or Java 8 download, but if that is problematic, try the 1.7 or 7 download. It is also available from Oracle on the same page. Look for Java SE 7u75/76.

Just be sure to download and install the 32 bit version since that version of Eclipse we integrate with requires a 32 bit JVM to tun.
