I am a user of AcuCobol Extend and have just loaded a trial version of Visual Cobol R3. I do not see anything there that looks like the Graphical Interface in the AcuCobol product. Am I missing something?Visual COBOL doesn't have its own UI builder, there are plenty of tools in Visual Studio to build rich UIs with technology such as WPF, WinForms or WebForms. Our focus is on making it easy to use those tools to build great UIs with COBOL behind the controls. There are some great samples in the product and a *very* short demo on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/MicroFocusIntl#p/u/40/gChsNHlXkaM
We're working on different approaches to make it easier to transform existing ACU-GT syntax into something more usable with these technology but if your application is reasonably well structured already you could start using them today.
