I am a 35+ year COBOL programmer and I would like to create some programs for personal use at home.
I have tried other languages but I am most comfortable with COBOL.
How can I get a copy of VCPE? Looks like every one I find on the Internet is for retired versions of Studio.
Thanks in advance

Hello Robert, we are very close to having a new version of Visual COBOL PE available for you shortly. I'll post a link as soon as it is available here in the group.
In the meantime, you could try the Learn COBOL extension from the Visual Studio Code marketplace as this is more or less the same thing but based around Visual Studio Code.

Thank you Scot,
Unfortunately, this did not help much.
Based on these samples and assignments, this is my current daily work.
What I am looking for is a way to use COBOL to create GUI windows and handle the data elements on those screens.
Will the new Visual COBOL PE be able to handle that type of user interaction?
Thanks,
Robert

Yes, you could create graphical application, for example, a .NET WPF or WinForms application for user input.
