In Netx5.x is was possible to define a dll the contains all icons and call this *.dll and all icons can be used in all programs

With VC7.0 (may be other VC-versions) it is not more possible! Is this a bug or wanted?

Yes, it is possible to select "Do not compile", but then there is no file icon.dll and this module can not be called!

Why is this not possible in VC?

i have found a solution. After conversion/importing the nextexpress Project 5.x in VC7.0 you open the project, marked the files *.exe or *.dll then go to advanced properties and select "Resource compile"
Why this not be automaticaly be made by importing, must answer MF.
When only one rc in a dll automatically set "Recource compile, when any *.cbl and one *.rc, the set also "Recource compile " for the RC-File
