Cloud-based services is taking over. How does NE/Visual Cobol meet this new future?
1 Cloud-based development on Azure with IDE?
2 deployment on Azure of production app?

Hi Lars, what a great question.

If you’re interested in Cloud deployment to Azure, we have an Early Adopter Program open which you can sign up to here:

www.microfocus.com/azure

Within this program we provide an add on to Visual COBOL for Visual Studio that provides support for deploying COBOL applications into Azure.

Here’s a short video showing you what that looks like in Visual Studio
Visual COBOL for Azure

Regards, Scot

And with Enterprise Server for .NET, we support emulated CICS and JCL COBOL applications in Azure, with scale-out capability for large workloads. Mainframe emulation under .NET doesn't yet support all the features that we provide for native applications, but we're adding features all the time.
