The Visual COBOL extension for Visual Studio Code can be installed directly from the Microsoft Visual Studio Marketplace, This applies to Visual Studio Code running on both Windows and Linux systems.
This will provide you with a full-featured COBOL editor and if you also have Visual COBOL installed, will allow you to compile and debug your applications.
