Hi.

I encountered some issues when using eclipse.
Can you tell me how to solve the issues below ?

[Issue]
When authorization has passed, I restart eclipse but JVM error has occured (Figure2_jvm_error_253.jpg).

Visual COBOL 6.0 for Eclipse for Red Hat x86_64


A history of my steps executed are listed as following:

(1) I installed "Visual COBOL for Eclipse for Red Hat x86-64" to RHEL version 8.
　No error had appeared when installing (Figure1_Capture_of_Installation_complete.jpg).

(2) After installing, I started eclipse at path on /opt/microfocus/VisualCOBOL/eclipse/eclipse.
　On first boot, following error has occurred (refer to Note1_1st_boot_error_on_eclipse.txt):

　> java-1.8.0-openjdk
　　> java-1.8.0-openjdk quit unexpectedly
　> Problem details
　　> reason
　　　> java killed by SIGTRAP
　　> crash_function
　　　> WebKit::ProcessLauncher::launchProcess()

　However on second boot, above error was not shown.

(3) Then I boot eclipse, "Product Liscensing" dialog box was shown.
　 I inputed "Authorization Code" with length of 16 into the input box.
　Then I restart eclipse, error dialog box which has message "Java VM 253 exit code" was shown.

I have solve the problem !! (refer to Figure3_HelloWorld_on_MF-COBOL_6.0_for_eclipe_for_RHEL8)

I tried two things below:

 

(1) When "JVM error 253" on "Visual COBOL" occured, I had used a root user.

    > I changed the login user to another user, that is not a root user.

 

(2) After I inputed "Authorization Code" with length of 16 into the input box on "Product Liscensing" dialog box,

"Licensing" dialog box which recommend to restart the Eclipse is shown.

When "Licensing" dialog box has shown, I had clicked "Yes" button on "Licensing" dialog box.

    > I clicked "No" on "Licensing" dialog box.

    And I restart the Eclipse from "Restart" menu item in "File" in the menu on the Eclipse.
