Can you install Visual COBOL for Visual Studio and Visual COBOL for Eclipse on the same machine?

    Welcome to the OpenText Community forum.

     

    It is possible to install Visual COBOL for Eclipse and Visual COBOL for Visual Studio on the same Windows machine, but they have to be the exact same version (and Patch Update level) of these products. This is because the installations share many components, such as the compiler and the runtime system.

     

    Please bear in mind that if you try this, you'd need to be careful going forward to keep the products in sync. And upgrading to a newer version may require an uninstall of both products.
