i have work only with dialog system and have many problems to adapt me on Visual Studio to create professional screensets.

Who want exchange his experience and screensets, data must be store in mssql-database, sql is not the problem.

I have show the examples from VC7.0, but there is nothing new.

Is it possible to buy a separate tool for a easy way to start quickly?

Thanks for help or information!

Dialog System was included in Visual COBOL for compatibility with older applications only. Although you can still use DS it is no longer being enhanced and new GUI applications can be developed using Windows Forms, Windows Presentation Foundation or ASP.NET, etc, We do not document these as they are Microsoft products and not Micro Focus ones. We do provide examples in our Samples Browser that demonstrate the use of these technologies including how to use them alongside of Dialog System. There are also some simple tutorials to get you started which are part of the product documentation.

Others feel free to chime in here with your own experiences going from DS to one of the newer .NET technologies.

Chris, when MF will deploy the number of their cobol customer, you need to take this point with more attention, only the complete result of a product is see.

hope that MF will accept this, then with Visual Studio and other MS-Programming language as C++ and C#, the customer have better and cheaper and must not pay runtime licenses and a cobol server to be able to run the application!
