Bottom line first, I would like a free trial for the Visual COBOL For Visual Studio PERSONAL Edition.

I created an account and requested a free trial of Visual COBOL for Visual Studio. Apparently from the wrong link.  I got the download link and a license was applied to my account.  Before I activated the license, I emailed a Micro Focus representative who emailed from the Enterprise Business Solutions.  She said I did not request the Personal Edition and she supplied me with the proper link. 

The problem is at Step 4. Finish trial request, after I click the button, a message is returned that states: You have already requested a free trial of Visual COBOL

Could someone please correct my account and provide me with a download link and license?

There is no problem to download a personal edition for visual cobol 8.0 after registering! Personal edition give you a license for one year for test/learning cobol and you can compile cobol sources lower than 2200 lines of code. You can download a full version valid for 1 month without limitation after registering.

It sounds like maybe you requested a 30 day trial verion instead of the VCPE version. After you request the PE version and it displays the message about already requested a free trial you should be provided with a link where you can login and manage your trials. If you go there and click on the trials link what product is displayed?

Is it the Personal Edition?

You might have to contact our 1st line support team by phone, in order to get your account reset. That is not something I can do.

It says Visual COBOL for Visual Studio there is no mention of PE version. It also says Environment Type: Production  which is what stopped me from activating the license.  How do I contact the "1st line support team?"

If you need the PE version right away then I can provide you with a PE license. The product installer download is the same so you can install the product that you have and then license it using the license that I will provide you.
