Uniface®

What I am trying to accomplish (unsuccessfully so far) is that if the end-user starts the process to generate a report, and they realize it is going to take a long time, I want to provide them a "kill" button.  The kill button would post a message to the report and tell it to stop. What happens with my test                Form 1 – select a report Activates the window with the "kill" button                         Then Actives a form for the user to filter the report data (Form 2)                 Form 2 – select "print" button, activates report                          Cursor spins until the report finishes                          Report finishes and then I can go back to the "kill" windows, but by now it is too late  Once they select the print button … I want them to be able to go to the "kill" button form BUT this is not possible until the report finishes  I understand the logic behind the way it works.  I'm just looking for a "work around" 😊 My early prototype worked, but that's be

One of our customers is attempting to get CE+ security certification, and they are failing because the tomcat released with 10.4 has a vulerability.  They need to be updated to Tomcat 10.1.43.  Anyone able to tell me if they've done this on their Uniface Install? Hi all, from few days at a customer site we are facing an issue with Uniface license server installed on a linux server. When Uniface Windows clients try to obtaing a license they are often getting back "License NOT available".We checked on the server log and we found many messages like this: [07/23/25-11:58:03] warning: a send data of size 25 bytes failed iP=X.Y.Z.C, you may want to increase the client's timeout setting Where IP=X.Y.Z.C is IP of the calling client. My question is: where should I change client's timeout setting for dialogs with license server as suggested from the log line? ASN setting USYS$TCP_PARAMS AFAIK is dedicated to Uniface<=>Userver. I have recently changed a tab widget from ATTACH=BOTTOM,RIGHT to ATTACH=VSIZE,RIGHT, so as to remove the need for a splitbar.  However, if we use the elipses (...) to load the properties form, on exit, it removes the VSIZE, and will therefore quietly break our component. Hello I have a problem with an html widget when the focus is on the html widget and not focused for example on an editbox within the frm component.  When I press for example 'shift+-' the userKey trigger is not fired. Other key combinations do not work either. Any ideas how to get this to work? Hey, i'm trying to convert a (complexe) uniface associative list into a struct. I found some samples on this forum but i'm encoutering some problems. this 'debug' screen shows the result after the struct->$name (1) instruction.  As you can see in the results (2) the node did not accept the name, nore did we get any error. I tried to simulate the procedure via a test-form and (obviously) here we donnot encouter any problems (see attachment) Anyone? Hi. I've got a form (Form1) containing a uHTML widget. I do a lot of stuff here, starting with     MY_HTML = "&file://%%$URLMENU$"    $fieldhandle(MY_HTML)->$widgetoperation("JS:doStuff", l_json) Then I do muliple stuff, including navigating with changing the file the same way in a trigger of MY_HTML trigger goToNextPage     MY_HTML = "&file://%%$URLPAGE1$"    $fieldhandle(MY_HTML)->$widgetoperation("JS:doOtherStuff") end It works, no problem. Now I have a other form (Form2), also with an uHTML widget, totally unrelated to the first one. I start it the same way.     MY_OTHER_HTML = "&file://%%$OTHERURL$"    $fieldhandle(MY_OTHER_HTML)->$widgetoperation("JS:doNewStuff", l_json) But when it opens, here is what happens : Form2 opens with the last content of Form1 (!!!) Then some time passes (perhaps the stuff I'm preparing in my Form, reading data) Then the HTML goes blank and error are fired (mainly "HTML Widget: Uncaught ReferenceError: doNewStuff is not defined"

Is there any way to know, from within the contained component in a tab widget, when the component is visible (I.e. when the tab value on the other component is changed).  I have contained component which I would like to refresh/instanciate when the tab is clicked, but not before.  trigger getfocus only fires when the contents of the tab is clicked, not when the tab widget itself has it's value changed to show the item.  The contained component is used by several different 'parent' components, and I would rather not have to alter the tab widget valuechanged trigger on all of them to include some 'instanciate' message. I'd rather the contained component knew when it was visible automatically. Has anyone ever tried to call a .net Core class library from Uniface (v10.3.02 32-bit)? We do have a working solution to call a .net framework dll by defining signatures. We use DllExport to expose the C# functions to native code. BUT we want to accomplish the same in .Net CORE.
