I did create a worksheet plugin.All well, I could see the new tab (worksheet) Then I want to rename the component behind the plugin.So I also renamed the entry in ASN-File.But nothing happend on the surface of the IDF.Still the old component is included.After deleting the old component, I got an error that the signature is missing.So UnifAce still looks after the old component and not that one defined in ASNAfter a little bit of research I found, that IDE_STATE is the problem as it holds still the old names.Question: Should not the entry in ASN-file override any othe information?Or how to refresh the IDE_STATE so it uses the changed information?My workaround was to delete IDE_STATE, but this also droppes all other "settings"Ingo

Patch 10.3.01.008 is withdrawn from the download server. This is due to a serious bug in this patch that causes corruption of components when they are exported to a zip file and then imported back in from that zip file with $ude. If you already have patch 008 installed, then you can still continue to use it, but be warned that using a zip file for export/import with $ude will severely corrupt your components.We are investigating the cause of this problem and an update with our plan of action will follow here.

Hi All,I am searching the alive monitoring on Uniface Anywhere host.On the documents, there are explaining the method to monitor the processes and the sessions from Cluster Manager, but there is no methods to monitor APS itself heartbeat.Does anyone know of alive monitoring method or solution for APS?Kind regards,Takafumi

The problem is that if field is in zoom mode and pulldown is activated via Gold-L, it is not possible to unzoom the field nor do anything with the app.Apparently Uniface is able to detect it somehow and throws the error 3003 - Function not allowed: you must unZoom first.How to check if the zoom is active ?

I have always to drag&drop the template on top of the container. i.e. drag it into the name of the container.But if there are a few objects already in the container, this is not intuitiv. One would like to add a object (template) in the middle or the end of the list.So it would be great, if you can drag&drop at any position in list.And please, open a rename window after you drop the template.Else you have to look out for the new object with the template name, click into the name and rename it.Just drop and ask for a name, that's (almost*) all  ...*) A possiblity to select a object from a list depending the context would be great.Ingo

Hi allI have an entity with 10 painted occurences.On each occurence, the size of some fields are different depending on the type of data displayed in the occurence. Therefore, I use $paintedfieldproperties to change the size.But it no longer works if I have more than 10 records in my database. Indeed, the first painted occurence may display the 20th occurence of the database. Indeed, for $paintedfieldproperties, one must specify the painted occurence number, not the current occurence of the hist listSo how can I know on which painted occurence I am for the current occurence of the hitlist ($curocc) ?

HiI got an exception when compilingI/O function: C, mode: 0, on driver: SLE  database is locked  Error       : -100005  Description : Commit failed  Context     :[context]  [STATUS] = "TRANSACTION_IN_PROGRESS"  [DBERROR] = 5As Im' the only one who is working with the database: strange ...Maybe it was the still open test with this component in question.But this is not the point.I got a few choises to press, I use the "ignore" button.Compiling the component again shows no error.But when testing the component, there was still the old code.It looks like, the changed script would not be stored.As I don't want to lose the new script, I did a copy into clipboard, close IDE, restart IDE and copy the script into the script container.In UnifAce 9, you could still try to store again, until the database lock is released.So, how can I be sure, that there is no loss of information after such exception

HiJust trying to create an associated label.Okay, select "label" an paint it on the canavas.  But then I stuck with associating the label to a field.  I'm trying double click, right mouse button, widget properties: NothingSo I did rename the label with the name of the field: Voila, the link is done.After this, there is a (non editable)property "associated field".So, how to select a field for a label without copy&paste the name of the field?Ingo

So, we've had the 'new' uniface.info up and going for some time...I feel there's way too much info contained on the old site to simply sit and wait for the tortuous 'migration' process to take place...Please, please for the sanity of the entire Uniface universe - restore the old site with at least READ-ONLY access...Most of us have work to do - and knew unifaceinfo to be the place to search in order to short circuit a number of issues....Knut
