Is it possible that the $UUU and/or $IDF paths "incomplete" (contains question marks for one or more of the required logon information; DBmnemonic, UserName, or Password)? If that's the case then you're most likely ran into the bug 28215:

Bug 28215 "UF93: Uniface crashes when starting Debugger if logon for $UUU/$IDF incomplete"

Description:

Uniface version 9.3 is crashing in case the Debugger is started and the Application Objects Repository paths $UUU and/or $IDF, which are defined in the application ASN file, are incomplete (contains question marks for one or more of the required logon information; DBmnemonic, UserName, or Password).

The described issue cannot be replicated with an earlier version of Uniface (for example Uniface 9.2).

Workaround:

Map the $UUU and $IDF path to Sequential ($SEQ), by adding the following assignments to the application ASN file:

[PATHS]
$SEQ = SEQ:
$IDF = $SEQ
$UUU = $SEQ

[DRIVER_SETTINGS]
SEQ=U1.0

A solution for this bug is currently planned for the patch P202, which at this is scheduled for July 24.
