HTML5 widget activation

We are in the process to build an application functionality requiring to manipulate content of an HTML5 widget.   We were able to have it correctly working with an edit or display within the EXEC trigger of the component containg the HTML5 widget; Trying to use print or show instruction instead of edit or display we found the HTML5 content empty; we feel the HTML5 widget is not activated at all if the component is not displayed.   Can anyone help us to clearify this behaviour?   Thanks in advance!   Gianni   P.S. I do not know what I've done writing this post to have text formatted in such "nice" way!!! :-)

Gianni, Printing the the HTML widget from Uniface is not supported (yet), and (AFAIK) there are no plans at this moment to implement it. This, however, should be on the enhancement wish list, so maybe it will be done in the future. But it is possible to print the content of the HTML widget by using (e.g.) the Window print() Method in JavaScript. Hope this helps. Daniel P.S. I don't see a problem when I just use a show instruction instead of edit or display. The content of the HTML widget is displayed as expected.
