Import problem from uniface9.6 to uniface10.4

Good morning guys,

 I´m importing all forms and report from uniface 9.6 to uniface10.4, and I noticed that the library and the panel is not showing when I access the component in UDE 10.4. Has anyone else had this problem?

Could you provide some more details, please? What exactly do you mean by "the library and the panel is not showing when I access the component in UDE 10.4"? Is this info not available anymore in the component? Can you see the panel when you go to "More Editors > Library: Panels"?

Panels and libraries are imported, but the library and panel are not associated with the component, they are empty.

Are the components based on a template? The IDF now makes inherited characteristics empty on the child component, or do the panels and library not work/show in the compiled version?

We imported into 9.3 and I think they all went fine there.

Now that you mention it, I think there was something I had to go through during the import. I see that the Inherits and inherits from are blank but the Modeled component is filled in.  I vaugely recall having to do something with the exported data, or the original .9.6 (9.7 in our case) data because it had tow different decisions as to whether something should inherit, we had to set something the T instead of 1, or set something to true if there was something set in properties. 
Unfortunately, my historic support cases appear to have been lost in the move.... I'll see if I can find emails.

Good to hear that you've found the culprit. Iain was a little bit quicker. My next question basically would have been the same: "Are the components based on a template?" ;-)

I've found what I had an issue with and it was where we'd made an attached contained form from a normally detached modeled component. The template was overriding the component state and causing the contained form to be detached, which led to all sorts of problems with $instanceparent. So the problem was a different one....
