HiI'll do a more thorough report about this to Uniface as I get more info.Now just a quick question here, if anyone recognises this problem.Using Uniface 10.4.02.021some of our customers get this error-message The program files are installed on a server but are processed on the client pc. Some of the clients are able to process the program as some can't, ie. they get the above error-message. It seems that the program is correctly installed and the mappings are ok. Now I know that it's working on Windows10 but not on Windows11, but this has been assumed from a very few clients. Hi all,  We are having some issues with carriage returns (CR) on a text that is later sent via HL7 through an integration engine. The issue is that the HL7 understands the CR as something that breaks the segment and then the message fails. So, we want to get rid of those CRs replacing them with something more appropriate that can be managed by HL7. The problem we are having is how to identify those CR? We already have some code that replaces some 'dangerous' characters with other more appropriate ones, for example, (&, ^, \\, |,….) are replaced with (\\T\\, \\S\\, \\E\\, \\F\\,….). For that, we go through the text using the function 'scan' to find the character to replace, but we don't know how finding t

Hello all, does anyone has a working signature for the EXCEL WORKBOOK->SAVEAS function? Hi Anyone else faced the next issue ? And found a solution to it?Since we moved our Uniface IDE to Azure VDI it is slower (and thus much less user-friendly). Other programs like IntellJ or SqlDbx aren't impacted negatively by this VDI migration. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of this from?  We're having issues with the 10.3. installation, and I am going to skip it and go for 10.4, but I need to rebuild some stuff for customer installs, and this is the last version we have verified for release.  Unfortunately, I overwrote our copy with 10.3.3.025 so I can't go back internally.  Does anyone have the exe they could share with me, please? I have 3 forms components that looks partially same with a sub-part containing 31 fields, 29 labels, 2 vertical lines nicely painted. I had to review them. After doing first form I would like to copy the whole sub-part on the 2 other forms.Is there a means to copy part of paint tableau to another? (Of course we need to reserve the space in the entity and avoid overlapping).In Uniface 8 and 9, I did it by exporting the forms in xml , copying the lines in the FORMPIC field and import back.But doing this in Uniface 10, make that the IDE throws exceptions and propose to close (also after restarting the IDE), despite forms look correct and compile without errors.PS: I don't want to use a common overlay component as this forms have to run also in character mode.------------------------------Bertrand DaeneSenior DevelopperCgm Lab International GmbhKoblenz DE------------------------------

In the default usys.asn file of recent Uniface versions, irtl.dll is not an entry in the user_3gl section but I believe it used to be. We are using the url encoding algorithm to encode a uniface list to be passed as a command line parameter on starting another uniface session.  This appears to occasionally truncate. The spawn command in use says it can take 8K as a command line, and it's definitely not that big.  Is there some other limit I'm missing? Sizes of the parameters on the uniface command line? Hello, With UNIFACE 10.3..02.54 on Windows , I try to list all files/folder containt in a folder in a zip file with $ldirlist, But if the folder name containt a dot, $ldirlist return always empty. [ex:  $ldirlist("D:\\TEMP\\GHO.zip:test.js","DIR") ] . The foder have the "D" attributes and it's recognize like a folder by Windows and 7zip. Someone have the same problem with a more recent version of UNIFACE ? Thanks. I appreciate that with DSPs the answer is just to paint the image widget, however, this is for integration with a java(script) based graphics/graphing utility via JSON data output by a USP, so I can't do that.  I have bitmap data loaded into the database using lfileload/raw, I am trying to convert this to a tag to display an image in HTML <img src='data:image/bmp;base64, DATAGOESHERE'> I have tried variables raw v_raw string v_string endvariables v_raw=$encode("URAW", fieldname) v_raw=$encode("BASE64", v_raw) v_string = $encode("USTRING", v_raw) and then replacing DATAGOESHERE with v_string, this doesn't work (I've also tried it outputting a basic HTML file, so I know it's not anything further up the line which is at fault).  I originally tried without the URAW encode, doesn't appear to make any difference. 

by Jonke Korzelius With patch 10.4.02.028, we have reintroduced and enhanced the ability to Insert multiple Fields, in one go, onto Forms and Reports to give you a quick start to designing your layout. For those who remember, the Uniface 9 development tool had a feature known as ‘Load Fields’ where you could Load Fields into an empty Entity; with version 10, you can add Fields to an Entity with items already painted (other Fields or child Entities). If there is not enough room for the Fields you are trying to Insert, the Uniface 10 IDE will not change your existing layout and cancels the action, so you need to make sure there is enough free space available for your Insert. You can do that by adding fewer fields, moving existing ones elsewhere, choosing a different layout, or enlarging the target entity. We implemented this feature following the IDE’s design

Hi, I am trying to connect to a webservice using UHTTP.SEND for GET operation but the url which am requesting  gives me the error HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request through uniface 10.3 but this also returns response headers with no content. But when I try to test the same URL it works fine with the Postman tool and also through CURL and it gives 200 response and provides the result as well.
