Hi All,   As part of our ongoing upgrade, we are transitioning the Uniface environment from Uniface 7 (on OpenVMS) to Uniface 10 (on Linux).During this migration, we encountered an issue with a 3GL function that was previously working as expected in the OpenVMS environment. The function is invoked using the following Uniface command:   perform "3glfunction"edit/nowander   This 3GL function is implemented in a .c file located in a Linux directory. Its purpose is to pause the Uniface application until a specified time has elapsed. Once the timer completes, the function uses UPUTAMES to send a response back to Uniface.While this setup worked seamlessly on OpenVMS, it does not function correctly on Linux. The Linux version of the 3GL function uses a timer thread, which is detached after the timer ends. Although UPUTAMES works independently and is capable of sending responses back to the application, it fails to trigger the expe

Hello all, We are currently in the process of upgrading from Uniface 10.4.02.052 to 10.4.03.019 and have noticed a difference in behaviour with our HTML widget that we are not sure how to resolve. I believe this is probably due to a newer version of the CEF framework that is included in this release. I know that Uniface is not responsible for CEF functionality, however, I wonder if anyone has encountered the following issue or can suggest a solution.... We have a form component with a HTML widget on it. We communicate with a third-party via REST APIs and they send us back the URLs of a number of images, and we then update the HTML widget to render these images. The URLs to these images are stored on a CDN. Whenever the HTML widget renders these images the following error is recorded in the message frame: HTML Widget: Third-party cookie will be blocked. Hi Unifacers, from documentation Uniface 10 has terminated support for:    /exe  Switch that was specific to the Development Environment. No longer supported.without any specific reason.In Uniface9 we had a very useful utility which after a search on components code was opening a separate development session directly on any of the components identified; this utility cannot be ported on Uniface10 without a restructuring. Now my questions:1) Is it possible in Uniface 10 Development having available the primary key of a Uniface component opening it directly in editing mode in a new session or in a separate Tab?2) If answer to #1 is NO, will a /exe or a /edit feature be implemented again in a next future on all Uniface development objects?3) If answer to #1 is YES, same functionality could be applied to any Uniface development object (Global procs, Global Includes, Global Menus, Modeled entities, Modeled fields, Code Snapshots, Field tem

What I am trying to accomplish (unsuccessfully so far) is that if the end-user starts the process to generate a report, and they realize it is going to take a long time, I want to provide them a "kill" button.  The kill button would post a message to the report and tell it to stop. What happens with my test                Form 1 – select a report Activates the window with the "kill" button                         Then Actives a form for the user to filter the report data (Form 2)

Hi everyone. I'm trying to open/use/finc a way to use developer tool's on an uHTML widget. I've added  HTML=uhtml(EnableDevTools=true) In the widget section of my ini file. I've also add it to properties in the exec operation of my form :     properties = $properties(AFFIC_HTML)    putitem/id properties, "ENABLEDEVTOOLS", "T"    $properties(AFFIC_HTML) = properties So I guess it' enable. Then what ? How to access it ? I of course tried with right buton, but the software I'm working on already have a panel opening a sub menu common to all the forms. Any clue ? One of our customers is attempting to get CE+ security certification, and they are failing because the tomcat released with 10.4 has a vulerability.  They need to be updated to Tomcat 10.1.43.  Anyone able to tell me if they've done this on their Uniface Install? Hi all, from few days at a customer site we are facing an issue with Uniface license server installed on a linux server. When Uniface Windows clients try to obtaing a license they are often getting back "License NOT available".We checked on the server log and we found many messages like this: [07/23/25-11:58:03] warning: a send data of size 25 bytes failed iP=X.Y.Z.C, you may want to increase the client's timeout setting Where IP=X.Y.Z.C is IP of the calling client. My question is: where should I change client's timeout setting for dialogs with license server as suggested from the log line?

I have recently changed a tab widget from ATTACH=BOTTOM,RIGHT to ATTACH=VSIZE,RIGHT, so as to remove the need for a splitbar.  However, if we use the elipses (...) to load the properties form, on exit, it removes the VSIZE, and will therefore quietly break our component.
