If anyone finds themselves in the same situation as I was after applying patch 26 to 10.4.03 and the Ctrl+F no longer brings up the find box in the proc editor, then just add this to your usys.ini and it will get you going again. My guess is that when they added the feature “Go to line number in code” they broke whatever the defaults that were baked into the proc editor because the search and the search and replace worked just fine without having to be defined in the usys.ini file(s). I opened a support ticket on this and eventually solved it myself. Hopefully, they address it or at a minimum, add it automatically to the usys.ini in future patches as they are applied.[userkeys]code.search=Ctrl+Fcode.searchandreplace=Ctrl+Hcode.gotoline=Ctrl+G

We have a web page built in against an HTML widget in our CS. Clicking a button on the web page uses a JS trigger to start loading a CS form and populating it with data. Whilst this is happening (can be up to 10 seconds before the entire form is loaded/shown) the web page is active and there is no indication at the client end that anything is happening. I’d like to turn on the ‘Processsing’ function, as per the refresh/loading of the page in the first place, from JS calls to the HTML widget before the activate of the triggered form, and off again after the form is loaded. (So the user doesn’t think nothing is happening and click the button several times (causing multiple instances of the form to fire up). Is this possible? Putting the DSP into ‘locked/processing’ state without the round trip to the server refresh… Iain

I have some data held in a field which I am painting on a DSP. Currently the field is set to statictext, but if I make the surrounding structure (div etc) have a fixed width, the field contents overflow it. I want to set them to wrap inside the width. However, the STATICTEXT field type translates to SPAN, and SPAN does not follow width or word-wrap, what DSP field type can I use doe display only text which follows the wordwrap stuff. I tried making the field ‘ATTRIBUTESONLY’ but then the text is not displayed (the ‘static text’ from the HTS is shown instead...) Regards, Iain 

I’ve recently been made aware of an issue with logical printers in Uniface 10.4 on Windows 11 workstations. If you have 2 or more logical printers defined, all logical printers in the list will appear to be mapped to the first physical printer in the list. If you click on Change, the printer definition appears wrong, but if you click on the chevron to see what physical printer is mapped, it will be correct -- HOWEVER, any specific settings that were stored originally when setting up the printer will NOT be correct.Support has suggested to manage this directly through proc code. Has anyone run into this issue and if so, what was the solution or workaround?TIA

We would like to understand whether Uniface 10.4 provides official support for Microsoft SQL Server 2025, or if support is currently limited to earlier SQL Server versions as defined in the Platform Availability Matrix. Our application is currently running on Uniface 10.4 with Microsoft SQL Server 2022, and we are planning an upgrade to SQL Server 2025. Can you please confirm whether Uniface 10.4 supports Microsoft SQL Server 2025, and if not, what the recommended upgrade path or compatibility guidance is?

Hi FreaksIt seems to me that whith every new UnifAce-Version the behavior of DISCARD changeIf the DISCARD in the READ-trigger itself the UnifAce enginea) recall the READ-trigger (very old Uniface versions, result sometime to an stack overflow)b) starts the READ-trigger again (current UnifAce versions)But we do have a globale procedure to execute the read.In this case UnifAce a) steps to the next statement (if then is no more to read)b) leaves all procedures and return to the READ-triggerc) restart the current procedure. Sic! Hi there,when I was trying to update my Uniface 10.4 Community Edition installation I was told to reuse the original eMail received with my entitlementID; clicking on same button latest community version should be downloaded. Restarting the installation the upgrade should recognize the already available product and upgrade it. Last time I made that process was to install 10.4.3.021.Now I would like to update my installation to test new features that came out with latest product patches but clicking on original eMail received still 10.4.3.021 is downloaded.Am I doing something wrong or am I missing something in the procedures?Regards,Gianni

I would like to know if it is possible to get the current occurance using an ‘entity’ webtrigger. I can do this at field trigger level.  I can go up to a parent level to the occurance(as documented). When in a webtrigger at entity level, the ‘this’ is the entity and not the occurance.  There is no possibilty to go down to a child level(occurance).I can get all occurances for the entity or the nth occurance at entity trigger level.But there seems to be no property to get the current occurance at entity level.  I would have imagined it would be a basic need. What would be the solution to get the current occurance of an entity without using field level triggers. 

Hi Unifacers, I am currently visiting a Uniface VAR; we need to download an older Uniface version: U9.7.05.057 for 3 platforms: W32, W64, LID but unfortunately they seems NOT available anymore on official UnifaceRocket download site. I've tried to contact Amsterdam phone numbers reported on RocketSoftware web site (+31 (0) 786 322 800 or 0800 022 2961 (toll free)) with no success (Message answered: this number does not receive incoming calls). Hello,We have a DSP that allows us to send emails using the Graph API. To use this API, we use the ‘msal.js’ library, which allows us to connect to our Microsoft account before sending emails.After the first connection to the Microsoft account, we use the ‘msalInstance.getAllAccounts()’ method, which retrieves the Microsoft connected user from the cache. This is essential for sending several emails in succession.This DSP is used in a form through a DSPContainer, and it works very well.Our problem is as follows: after each application restart, we have to re-enter our credentials: the ‘msalInstance.getAllAccounts()’ method has forgotten everything. As long as the application is not restarted, this method remembers the logged-in user.Do you know if it is possible to have a persistent cache after closing? Hi All,   As part of our ongoing upgrade, we are transitioning the Uniface environment from Uniface 7 (on OpenVMS) to Uniface 10 (on Linux).During this migration, we encountered an issue with a 3GL function that was previously working as expected in the OpenVMS environment. The function is invoked using the following Uniface command:   perform "3glfunction"edit/nowander   This 3GL function is implemented in a .c file located in a Linux directory. Its purpose is to pause the Uniface application until a specified time has elapsed. Once the timer completes, the function uses UPUTAMES to send a response back to Uniface.While this setup worked seamlessly on OpenVMS, it does not function correctly on Linux. The Linux version of the 3GL function uses a timer thread, which is detached after the timer ends. Although UPUTAMES works independently and is capable of sending responses back to the application, it fails to trigger the expected behavior in Uniface-specifically, the form does not displa

The search (specific and AI) functions on the docs webpage appears to be broken, no results are returned even when very specific request are made, and the Uniface product is explicitly selected. Any idea when it’s coming back? They currently have the application and database on premise and use the Distributed Licence Manager to manage concurrent users.They wish to migrate the application and database to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.What would be the implications for this with regards moving the DLM onto OCI, and would the licence itself need to change?They are on uniface 9.7.Thanks in advance,Clare
