Hi, We are trying to compile a Uniface application by installing it on a Cloud build Agent (i.e. build machine in the cloud). We have been successful in doing so, however,  when the actual compilation process begins it tries to fetch files into a database server. We have the enterprise version of Uniface so the database is hosted on-premise in a SQL server. The connection between cloud and the SQL server database is causing significant latency in the file import process thereby lengthening the build time.I wanted to know, why does Uniface need to have a database connection to perform a compilation?  I believe the database is used as a code repository to store the code temporarily during the compilation process. Hi, I just finished setting up a project in Uniface 10.4 and for some reason when I start the IDE it shows me the console but when I click "ok" it won´t show the IDE.P.D. Hello everybody,with 10.3.03.008 the Informix connector supports now a maximum key length of 511.I would appreciate if the Informix Connector would also support a wider field and table name length. Hello all,Can some one tell me when Rocket Uniface 10.3.02 will be out of support and will not get any more (security) updates/patches?I am currently working on a project for migrating the Rocket Uniface application of a customer to Rocket Uniface 10.3.02.I would like to suggest switching to the Rocket Uniface 10.3.03 release. The customer is reluctant to switch because they expect problems. Hi,Is there a Uniface function that checks if a string is a valide email address ?If not, is there a simple to do it with the match pattern ?  We use it to successfully to check if a field is numeric with : If (MyString != '(-)#*(.)#*') Message/info "Non numeric value", but I can't find how to ckeck if MyString contains only authorized character with @ in middle and .fr or .com  or any other else at the end.Thanks for adcance.Laurent.​------------------------------Laurent MerotRocket Forum Shared Account------------------------------

Hello, We are trying to migrate our Uniface 9.7 application to Uniface 10.3. We have migrated the repository but unable migrate the logicals. Each time When we Open the Uniface 10 IDE or switch components in IDE, message frame displays error: [ERR: LOGICAL_NOT_FOUND] Object not found. illegal or unknown object ID] The Resource Browser do not show Models and Tables, else show ERR: LOGICAL_NOT_FOUND ​Can someone give us a short description on what to do to resolve it, and what things to check. If you want to see our presentations again or missed it, you can see it by clicking the video below.I have added the Q&A from the webinar: Q: Is it possible to host licenses within a virtualized environment?  A: There is locking information which must remain stable. If this is the case, virtual environments are no problem.  Q: Will it be possible to use DLM within uniface 10.4 or is it disabled?  A: 10.3 licenses do not work on 10.4 – updating to 10.4 will require a new license, which will be sentinel.  Q: Is it a must to change to Sentinel when still using 10.3? Hi,Since we upgraded database to SQL Server 2016 with ODBC driver Native Client 11.0 we get errors by updating a datetime field:Server: 22008 [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0]Datetime field overflow. It is used to create and organize components, modeled entities, and libraries that are needed to build the application"In my particular case I would like to add a "menu object" to my project. I know, this is not a main development object... But shouldn't it be possible to do this in order to completely maintain a "project"? We are trying to migrate from U9.7 to U10.4 since several weeks.The last problem we have is a very bad performance of the clear proc in our frms.We use the function $paintedfieldproperties to construct our grid with a "Sheet" aspect like the screenshot below.After a retrieve for example, when the screen is full of data , now, when we do the classic "clear" process  to empty the screen as usual, the lines goes empty but very slowly, line by line...It is not at all the case with Uniface 9.7, actually in production mode.This gives a very bad user experience and may jeopardize our migration to U10.Is there a way to improve this clear process ?Thank you very much for your helpPS: we are testing U 10.4.01.003 ------------------------------Cabero DanielLead of IT R&D LideaEuralis SemencesMONDONVILLE FR------------------------------
