Hello, We sometimes have problem with mouse pointer in Uniface application : the pointer is visible ouside the Uniface application but as soon as we move above the most externe component called by start-up-shell, it disappears. The only way to see it again is to close the runtime and re-open it. Have you ever seen that ? We have this problem in 9.6 and 10.4 on several windows platform. Hi FreaksI have just managed to integrate my "prettifier" into U10 :-)At the end, <refresh> is also called (or better set to True) so that the result can be accessed immediately.The only problem is that the refresh sets the position in the script back to (1,1). Hello, We are now using Uniface 10.4 with MySQL 5.7. These version of MySQL is no longer supported so wre are working to migrate in 8 version. We have plently of entities that are using the field OF (it means Prodcut Order in french = Order de Fabrication). With version 5.6 and 5.7 of MySQL, this word was not reserved but in 8, it is. So when we Clear/Retrieve en entity with fielf OF, we get an error message :  You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'OF from V_FABRICATION  where 1=0' at line 1 We thought that Uniface transactions with MySQL "protected" the name of fields and entities by sending : SELECT `OF`.`V_FABRICATION` from `V_FABRICATION`;  instead of SELECT OF.V_FABRICATION from V_FABRICATION;  Do you know if there is a way to set up Uniface so that all fields and entities to be border by ` (Alt+Gr+7) ? Hi We are migrating from Uniface 9 to Uniface 10.4.02. We have some web services that have worked fine in Uniface 9, but fail in Uniface 10. I wrote the original web services following a Uniface blog article some years ago, along the lines of "How to implement a web service with a Dynamic Server Page". The problem in Uniface 10 is that GET requests work fine, but POST requests fail before getting near the DSP. I eventually discovered that the POST request was being denied by the USYSHTTP component. A simple workaround for this was to simply convert my DSP to a USP, and then everything works fine. So my question is, is this expected behaviour in Uniface 10? Was I wrong to assume it would work in Uniface 9  (it did work)?  I'm happy to be told that POSTing to a DSP makes no sense, if that's the case. I'm just trying to understand. Thanks very much. Hi UnifAce Don't know if this is an error, a bug or a feature:-)Assume a simple component to work with in IDE.Modify the proccode in an entity proc container (UXGROUP)Now call an external component (via IDE-Plugin) which loops through all proc containers of the component. a) In the external programm I can read the stored UFORM but UXGROUP is still unmodified (i.e. the old proc code)b) Back in IDE, the trigger in UXGROUP is still the modified version .c) Try to compile the component to store the component for sure in wholed) got strange errros 1) After playing around an try to call the plugin once again:   [startUserOption] User action failed to complete. Hi all, In order to estimate the effort required to upgrade my customer's Uniface 7 & 8 applications to Uniface 10.4 , I'd like to ask your feedback on the number of person months that was required in order to upgrade your application to a major Uniface versions. Hi FreaksCurrently two developers are programmin on the same server by "remote desktop".The UnifAce-environment is the same but I do have have different shorcuts to IDE.EXE for them.I create  different ASN and INI*) files for both so that $user=a_name and IDE_STATE_a_name.zip are neatly separatedBut if the debugger is about to start, UnifAce always use UDB.CNF as the config file.Okay, I can modify UDBG.ASN to use another UDBG_a_name.CNF but this is only half the way.But I do not have any chance to tell IDE.EXE to call UDBG.EXE  with a modified commandline.So any idea to name the UDBG.CNF depending on the current user?Ingo PS *) is there any way to use a #FILE in a INI-File? Hi, I have a weird issue with uniface 9.6.  When I try run a form for a particular record, Uniface crashes out ( Uniface 9 has stopped working).  But... when I run the same form with the same record in debug mode, I works fine. To do this, I first have to call up an access token in ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) using a user, a password and a ClientId for a client. Hi all, As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm working with a customer who is considering  modernizing old Uniface 7 & 8.4 applications.  In the scenario where these apps remain in Uniface, they will be migrated to Uniface 10.4. I would like to understand the available tools and effort involved in order to add a web interface to the most important screens in the applications, while leaving the rest of the screens as they are.  I saw a white paper describing some of such abilities in the new Uniface versions, but it appears rather vague. Is there a document that explains these abilities more technically? Could you share from your experience how you have added a web interface to old Uniface applications, what tools you found useful to speed up the process and how much effort was involved? Do you know if when modifying some screens of the Uniface app to be web based while not modifying other screens in the Uniface app - can both of these types of screens be accessed from the same virt

This method uses internal resources.In fact, for EACH ACTION (e.g. clicking on a button with a "Public Web"), the session number is modified. Whereas the session number is only supposed to be renewed after 30 minutes of inactivity. Maintaining the session number is imperative, as it enables us to store information. Ex: the logged-in user.The session number ($item("SESSION", $webinfo("WEBSERVERCONTEXT"))) does not change when the same DSP is opened with a web browser or with the cell phone with external resources. Hi all, We are migrating Uniface from 10.3 to 10.4. After installing of all the Tomcat Webservice is not Running. After start of the service it is active for a while (maybe 30seconds) and  then stops itself. Server is Windows Server 2019 Standard. In the log is no errors to see: Even in the eventviewer we can't find anytrhing. Does someone knows why the service is stopped? Hello all, We are using the Uniface 10.3 and 10.4 IDE Utilities to build Deployment Archives for patches of our application. The Uniface Repository is kept in an Oracle Database. Since we has installed the latest patch (Rocket Uniface 10.4.02-050) the Deployment Archive tool is having problems. The error ORACLE Driver Error [-80]: Column has incorrect ORACLE storage format is shown. The expected storage format is not the same as the actual storage format. Changing the storage format from VARCHAR2 to CHAR for the UDESCR field in the table does not help. The same message occurs again. (See below). We were able to fill out the forms, but we were not able to create the actual UAR. It also happened that both forms were empty and no new definition could be created with the same name. When we looked in the database the information about the archives are available in the tables. Has anyone seen the same?
