Hello, I would like to know why the undocumented function $formpanel is still not documented although I use it since Uniface 7.2 (we're in the migration process to 9.5). The trigger editor highlights it correctly even in 9.5 and it works OK this is an interesting feature, why is it kept in the dark ? Regards

It's still in the code because it's used internally within the Uniface 9 UDE, or left over from Uniface Flow (I'd need to check to be sure). Similar to other parts of the product, it's not productized, meaning there are probably not sufficient QA processes, it's not documented and therefore it's not supported. So using it would be at your risk because it could be changed if there is the need and those changes could potentially break or change the functionality you are using.

I did some testing on it a while ago, to see if we could use this more often. In its current state it works fine for the existing use cases in the IDF, but almost only for those. As soon as you try to do other sensible things with it, there are a lot of bugs. There is NO quality assurance in place for this function. I strongly advise against using this undocumented function in your application. This function is not used in Uniface 10. The reason it is not removed from Uniface 9 is that that costs time and money that we can spend on issues with a higher priority.
