Installation Errors in 64bit-Version

Hello, now that Uniface 10 is available for Client/Server, i would have a first try with it. So i decided to download the 64bit-Version. It seems to be as it is not installing correct. It looks like that not only the size is different between the 64bit-Version (282 MB) and the 32bit-Version (326 MB).   The 64bit-Version shows "Deployment Environment" to be installed. Whereas the 32bit-Version shows the expected "Development Environment" to be installed.   After installing the 32bit-Version on my computer, i get the IDE running.   Greets Norbert

Hello, are there any News About 64 bit Versions of Uniface 9 and 10 for the IDE? Are there new licenses needed???   Regards Norbert

Hello Norbert, No, there's no news. The Uniface 10.3 IDE still only supports 32 bit at this moment. No idea when we could expect a 64 bit version. Sorry. And (AFAIK) there are no plans for a 64 bit Uniface 9.7 IDF (version 9.7 is now in maintenance mode). Regards, Daniel

Knut, Uli, I've given this some thought, and we'll stay with the way the forums currently are set up, with Google searching into these forums, and registered users being able to post.  As we talked about at the Dev Conference in Vegas last week, and will continue to discuss in the coming events, we know that we will continue to develop and mature the IDE and feedback is valuable in helping us to set priorities on both the bigger pieces of functionality (projects/version control for example) and the smaller pieces which are often the most irritating.  We'll address feedback/comments as required in the forums, and straight talking is appreciated as long as it remains professional.

... or have at least some email address for the "more delicate" feedbacks. As one has to name the desease plus symptoms so "the Lab" can make adjustments. Uli
