Does anyone know how Uniface accesses the logicals defined in the assignment file?
If a component is going to test on the presence of a logical a *LOT* of times, is it better to test it once and put the result in a variable or just let it test everytime?

Hi Col,
AFAIK, one of the very first things uniface does is to process the ASN files and stores the result in memory.
The ASN file does not need to be opened again and again when a $logical is encountered.
So the overhead to check $logical should be minimal and no necessety to have a separate $logical buffer.
