Does anyone know if Uniface 10.4 has the same functionality (somewhere) that was provided on a toolbar for formatting and finding text in Uniface 9.7 :

I used quite a few of these options all the time and was wondering if it is still available.

Thanks,

I dont think that exists any more... Of course find/replace (ctrl+f) works and is better that all previous verisons.

Comment/uncomment code is the only thing I am missing

I was waiting to see if there were any homegrown remedies, but it appears not.

No, you can't get that bar back, there is no equivalent. You can get a limited version of 'find in all proc'  by adding the downloadable 'Additional' menu options and implementing them. That gives you a 'view listing' tab (assuming you are set up to generate listings) which has a 'sort of' find option in it. (No find next).

I also miss both block commenting and auto-formatting.

I think I miss auto-formatting most.

Regards,

Iain

We are currently working on expanding the code editing functions in version 10.4. The latest patch (030) has included the block comment feature. Our next priority is to develop uppercase/lowercase functionality, which is expected in patch 031 /032. Following that, we will work on Code Beautifying and Auto-Indent features.

Kind regards,

Mike

That's great Mike!  I used the block comment and UC / LC a lot!
