Changing default printer

Hi,

I have got info about Uniface9-applications not changing to new default printer as the default printer is changed in Windows. This has been working before, hasn't it?
Actually I don't know why this is needed by our customers but any information about why the behaviour has changed appreciated.
Anyone else having problem with this?

Workaround: Restart the Uniface-application.

    I think the problem is as the "/nodialog" is set. I looked it up in the help and found the following

    • /nodialog—disables the appearance of the printer dialog, making it impossible for the end user to change printer settings from within Uniface for each print job. Uniface then uses the default system or the last printer used, depending on the DEFAULTPRINTER initialization setting. 
    [PRINTER]
DEFAULTPRINTER=TRUE

    This was set to FALSE in the ini-file of our application.

    The behaviour of /DIALOG has changed from Uniface7 to Uniface9 using the last used printer, as Uniface7 did always change to the default printer.

    Yes, my current customer (9,3) has a similar symptom:

    when we change the printer with the "Setup" Option activated by the application icon.

    If we have a /NODIALOG option, the new selected printer is not chosen.

    Workaround: Use the /DIALOG option.
