Maximum number of UServers?
Author: lammersma@hotmail.com (lammersma)
Hi there,
We run into a problem. Our application is deployed on a windows 2003 server, while the 150 users use the application via the polyserver. On the (Citrix) clients only Uniface is installed, where the usys.asn points to the polyserver. Now the clients are far more light than they used to be, when the complete application was deployed on the clients. Below the part of the usys.asn:
[PATHS]
$POLYSERVER TCP:serversIP+13010|polyserver|polyserver|PSV
[FILES]
*.asn $POLYSERVER:*.asn
*.ini $POLYSERVER:*.ini
But it seems that about 50 users can work this way. Has something to do with the heapsize. To be honest, I never ever heared of something like the heapsize. On CU2008 this problem was mentioned, but related to a web application. In a webenvironment 50 UServer processes can serve hundreds of users. In a polyserver environment 1 UServer serves 1 Uniface users. Isn't it?
Has anyone a clue how to serve 150 (or even more) concurrent users via polyserver?
Kind regards,
Peter
