The reason for asking this: he wants to install a new site with U9.6 but still has archives that need to be maintained or an existing Uniface U94 installation. Hi Gerd That should not be a problem. Nothing has been changed with regards to uar files from U94 to U96 so.....migrate and enjoy the new C/S features that come with U96.

Hi, Please don't use compiled objects (including uars's) from older Uniface versions with newer Uniface runtimes. This is not tested and not supported by Compuware, so you would do it fully on your own risk. And definitely don't use compiled objects (including uars's) from newer Uniface versions with older Uniface runtimes. They will contain new functionality that the old runtime cannot handle wich is a sure recipe for trouble. Theo
