Hi Again, I am trying to change the background color of an ITEM , it has FORGROUND and BACKGROUND options in its PROPERTIES when looked at in ACCUTERM. So I am assuming that they can be changed on the "fly" durring use of the form. Hi,  am now using Accuterm well but am stumped by the the resulting functionality of the  Combo Box. Lets say the combo Box is waiting for a request and the user enters a Name (as requested)   BAXTER  I then search the Customers file and find 21. When I have created a list and loaded it, how do I make the list shown on the screen so that the user knows that their search request has a result. I realise that the user could simply press the "down arrow" but I would prefer to show them the first 8 items to indicate that the selection is ready for picking  I hope this makes sense. hello there, I have used Accuterm and Unibasic for the last 4 months, and I used the basic and standard toolboxes from Accuterm 8. That looks like old vintage themes, For Example, I want the input field with the curve edges as well as buttons, and more. So, I want to create a better user interface for my application.is there any alternative or any ideas? Any information you can provide would be highly appreciated. Hi, thanks to a few AccuTerm Training YouTube videos I have started to move forward but have hit a problem I cant yet resolve. I am trying to create a screen that show customer details, basic customer info with Rep Code and name (looked up from Reps file)   that's working.   Next step - to be able to update these details, simple stuff works but I am stuck on the Rep Code.   I have created a list box which should show the Rep code but no its blank.    Then I have created a click event which populates the Rep List with code in first column and Name in second that works and allows me to select a different Rep problem is that the new Rep code is not shown, new Rep name is shown via the validate event for the Rep code I simply can not get the Rep Code to show in the box for it  I am sure that I am doing something very simple wrong but cant find it. Can anyone help please  p.s. the training videos get very near the answer but leave it as something for future development of the training app -

Hi My name is Chris Baxter I am trying to get into AccuTerm after several years elapsed from developing a trial screen in AccuTerm 7 but customer not being ready.  They wish to push forward now.    I have downloaded AccuTerm 8 trial and installed the system and Updated the Host Services, also installing the DEMO MENU hoping that I would at least  start to gain understanding from that but  it failed immediately I am not feeling too confident at the moment :( I have uploaded a screen clip as well I hope someone will respond please Regards Chris Baxter chris@cb-soft.co.uk ------------------------------Chris BAXTERMDCB SoftIPSWICH GB------------------------------

Hi, I'm new to SB+ development so please excuse any ignorant questions. I'm trying to amend a screen to: Add a field that should be forced to 'N' unless 2 prior entered fields have particular values. If the prior fields meet the conditions the user should be able to optionally change the value to 'Y' If the prior fields don't meet the condition the user should not be able to change the value. What would be the cleanest/best practice way to achieve this? Regards, Jonathan

I tried to activate the U2 python option using the command from the manual. This is what it returned. $ ./bin/uvregen -p PY:1.uvconfig: Permission denieduvregen: error during regen, process abortedUniVerse becomes un-authorized due to license change!Configuration Code:XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXX That's a scary response. Is it un-authorized now? It's still working but is this going to blow up when I reboot? I'm hoping not and that the real issue is that I didn't execute the command as sudo. Are there any "How To" manuals for AccumTerm  as I am in reality a new user, who did developed good screen 5 years ago but the customer did not what to change then. Now they are all for it but I can get the basic's out of the manuals and feel completely lost and out of the loop

How can I call two applications at the same time and work simultaneously using Accuterm 8? I have a primary menu called MM, for instance. I want to call two separate sessions from the main menu: Customer Master (CM) and Order Entry. I use EXECUTE but the primary menu is unable to use. With Accuterm 8, I am using the Unidata database. Any insights you can share would be greatly appreciated. In BDT you can click on the Windows toolbar option and the Editor option allows you to split the window into two panes either vertical or horizontal. It will work with a single file, but how can I open two different programs in either of the panes?

Hi guys - I know I can wrap a grid column header by typing a shift-enter where I want the header to wrap. Similar to making old pick headers wrap by using a multivalue mark. But I want the DATA within the grid to wrap or be 'stacked'. Like an address with name on the first line, street on the second, and city,st,zip on the third line - all within one grid row and column cell. I don't want to have to mess with blocking the characters to force a wrap.  Anyone know how to do this? Hi. I've found these forums extremely helpful, especially Pete's posts who's an absolute gem! Today, I need help on a topic which I tried to look up for so many days but didn't find. We've a requirement where we need to do away with PuTTY which we currently use to launch some Linux utilities. Since our tech stack is PICK/UniVerse, what better alternative would be than to leverage AccuTerm 7/8. However, the challenge with this approach we're facing is after we launch the utility, the control is handed over to the program in question (which is nothing but a CLI launched with EXECUTE 'sh -c "./Dashboard"'), and at this point if a user prematurely Closes (or Exits) AccuTerm, it keeps running on the Linux host machine which somehow isn't the case with PuTTY.
