We promoted a file last week and a few of the programs dependent to the file were not selected as a dependent object during promotion.  The missing dependent objects are defined in ACMS. The objects are not in File  . . . : PRTDEP    Library . : ACMSCTL   I know there is a command to rebuild the  dependent objects file, just can't remember what the command is.  We ran it probably 10-15 years ago; Anyone know what the command is? "paste" operation (via edit toolbar and right-click method) becomes disabled after a very small amount of screen history in Extra 9.6 SP1. The problem with the paste operation becoming disabled did not occur in Extra version 9.2 until a very large amount of screen history.  Setting used for screen history in both versions is the same (enabled, don't include scrolling region, don't retain history),  Is there some setting to prevent this from happening, or is this a known defect in version 9.6?#Extra!#MainframeAccess

We were notified by customers that they have been using Dojo charts in their Rocket MX Web solution, and as of an upgrade to Rocket MX Web version 10.3.x these did no longer appear. There was also no browser console error displayed. After analysis we found out that the root cause is the update of our internal Qooxdoo framework to version 7.5. It turns out there is an incompatibility between Qooxdoo 7.5 and the Dojo charts version 1.7 and up. Both of these components define a javascript function by the name require()and this causes a conflict. The conflict can be relatively easy be fixed by adding a prefix to the original function. In the index.html or index.jsp, prior to loading the web client in startClient()  (which will load the Qooxdoo framework), this code can be added: <script type="text/javascript" src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/dojo/1.9.2/dojo/dojo.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> let dojocharts = { require : require };

We are setting up our application in new AIX 7.3 server with Visual Cobol Devhub 7.0 - Patch Update 18. and we are getting below error when compiling a cobol program. The program/compilation script does not have reference to xlc  so not able to understand why the below error is getting displayed. The module is getting compiled without any program errors and when creating .o file, the error is displayed. Kindly help to resolve the issue Please let us know for any further information. Hi All, Most likely obvious, but I recently removed millions of records from some UNIDATA files, and I want to reclaim the disk space. In days of old, I would make a new version of the file that is empty, then copy the records into it -- then replace the old file with the new one. Is there a better way to do this now? I have a vauge memory of doing the copy from the ECL prompt, but I may have used Unibasic. I have a few files over 50GB that it would be nice to get the space back.  In reviewing the manuels, (HORRERS) it seems that REBUILD.FILE would basically do that. Hi,Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but thought I'd give it a bash. We have an application written in Uniface that we run via Citrix from 3 load balanced servers.The users change the session settings such as the format of the GUI screens and in the previous version were able to make those persist by clicking the following....In the new application this is not saving the users preferences and we are not able to find where the issue is.Anyone know where this would try and save the user preferences to? Local machine? Working on a routine to take HTML input and convert HTML entities like < and &gt to their character equivalent.  However, HTML entities are case insensitive, so the input string might be <, <, &lT; or ≪.  Is there a clean way to search for < in the string without case sensitivity so the value can be replaced with "<"?

Status: New IdeaWhen we Recompile a src member in TSO, it allows us to use the "List Library containing component" option. This lists all the promotion libraries where the component resides and we can choose right there from where we want to recompile.  In the client pack it is not this simple. We have to do a component query first and see where the component is, so we can choose it for the recompile.  Making the Client pack work as it is in TSO would be very beneficial and easier. #Simplify#ZMF4ECL

Hi. A very strange problem.  We are getting an error of ORA-03114 not connected to oracle after commit, while read and write passed without any error. Even more interesting - the commit did succeeded! The change is well shown on another sesiion... So I thought the problem is with the ORA driver. the system runs Uniface 9705 on Windows 2019 server with Oracle 12c. I have this phantom program that runs for a bit and then just stops functioning.  The program continues to run, but doesn't do what it's supposed to do and does not respond to any control inputs other than a Linux kill.  Seems to be caught in some kind of a dead loop.  There are no READU locks preventing the program from running, it just ... doesn't do anything after it's been running for a while. Is there any way to connect the Unidata debugger to the phantom to evaluate variables or step through the program?

I'm a very small shop, only 9 employees.  I recently brought my D3 server back in house after a stint in the cloud.  I'm running D3 on AlmaLinux.  The hardware is an HP Z2 workstation with an i5-12500 6 core processor, 16GB Ram and 2 SSD's.  I do most of my tech support myself, but sometimes farm some work out to a local IT support company, Top Notch.  They're recommending I switch to / embrace virtualization and recommending Windows Server with Hyper-V.  I'm not a big fan of Windows and no next to nothing about virtualization, but I've seen posts about the benefits.  I'm just wondering if the Windows Server is the best solution for me. Due to requirements at work we have been forced to update all of our macros from .NET Framework to .NET 6. This has caused our macros to stop working due to the reliance on System.Runtime.Remoting reference in the Framework dll. Are there any plans in the future to update the .NET API so it can operate in .NET 6?#Reflection

Some customers reported recently that they have problems using lasso copy or clipboard copy when running our Rocket MX Web client in an iframe within another application. When this happens, the web console displays: Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: The Clipboard API has been blocked because of a permissions policy applied to the current document. Good afternoon (morning/evening as the case may be).  I just upgraded our LMi from 8.5A to RDOI 10.2 on the IBMi.   As far as I understand, this is just the beginning of modernizing.  I think we would like to get into VS Code, GIT, and other more modern practices so that we can find people to replace those of us meandering toward retirement.   So my question is - what would be the next step?  I have downloaded VS Code for i, although my knowledge is very rudimentary. I have installed BDT 4.5.0 on my Windows 10 laptop. I'm connecting to UV 11.3.4 on RHEL 8.8. I get errors trying to connect. So the question is: Do I have to give the unirpc process access to write to my VOC file? We just installed 11.3.4 on our server. What updates are needed? What sequential file failed to open (guessing it was a log file of some sort). If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.
