On some Win10 stations, when running an application developed with NE, the error shown in the image below appears frequently. I have installed a Server for Cobol runtime of 10 users, and it is as if the user counter is increasing until it reaches 10, when in reality is that the application is only running in that station only once. The problem is solved by restarting the station. How to solve this problem and what can be the cause?

We use Visual Cobol 7 in Visual Studio 2019, patch update 14. When changing Git branch we sometimes get the following message: As usual, it doesn't happen every time. We haven't been able though to see any pattern. If you click on Cancel nothing happens. The only way to continue is to finish the process in Task Manager and restart VS. After that you can switch branch.

Being used to the Unidata format, when running this command in Universe the file the lock is in does not display. We have common keys across many files so the format of this tool is very unhelpful to us! Does anyone have the syntax, alternate command, or custom ditty that shows all the pertinent info for a lock at one time? Our changeman Admin (and only Admin) left abruptly and it looks like i'm it now. There is a parm SITEADMINS That is followed by his RACF Id.    I can't find anything in the manuals about this.  Can I put additional ones there like XX03,XX15,XX36? Many years ago when we went to the web we stopped using paragraphs. We have not used a PROC since the early 2000s with any of our clients. So when we moved to the web using UniObjects for Java you could only call subroutines through our API. This meant we had no use for any of the 1000-plus paragraphs that we had written over the years. If we need to select we use EXECUTE to handle getting the data.I was wondering if what I am describing is true for other Unidata, Universe, and D3 customers that have gone through a migration to the web. I have a would-be client that says you can keep all of them. I just don't want to use and EXECUTE to call the paragraph and DATA the need inputs. Prior to the 8.2 Patch 3 release, the ChangeMan ZMF for Eclipse (ZMF4ECL) Client pack user interface required installation of the ZMF Web Services (zmfws.war) in a web application server environment of choice. Changes in 8.2 Patch 3, however, removed this requirement and the following is documented in all ZMF4ECL Readme files since that release: “IMPORTANT! ZMF for Eclipse 8.2 Patch 3 and later releases have removed the dependency on ZMF Web Services. This simplifies the installation and configuration process as well the set-up process for Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connections.” Some of the remaining ZMF4ECL documentation still currently refers to the need for the separate installation of zmfws.war. Greetings - We're in the process of creating an MSI based installation of Rocket BlueZone, and have experienced some odd behavior. When launching the desktop shortcut to a pre-configured session (*.ZMD), an error is displayed 'Error 5 writing profile - C:\\ProgramData\\BlueZone\\10.1\\Config\\<name of session>.zmd. We also noticed that if we launch the same session shortcut from the start menu, the error is not displayed. Even more strange, is that after launching the session shortcut from the start menu, then we can launch the desktop shortcut w/o receiving the error message. Has anyone seen this before? We are converting microfocus dialog screens into C# screens. we are facing problem like in sub-programs we have function for call dialog screens now we are unable to find the way to call C# screen or code from managed Cobol. we are accessing the data from C# to Cobol and Cobol to C#  by using data blocks but with this approach we are unbale to maintain the state(table variable are getting empty, validations are getting fails) because we are exiting the from the Cobol and transferring the control to C#.  is any way to call C# code from the Cobol. So that we can trigger the screen where ever we required in Cobol.

Hello, I've always been a IBM mainframer, we just switched over to micro focus Cobol. I need to use the call "system" command to call the dos command prompt and then I need to execute the windows  lpr print command to send a print file to specific printer. Any suggestions?. I've heard I can also use the x91 function 35.
