We have test and production accounts on the same system, which is to say that they reside in different paths on HP-UX.When the test account was first created, it was a clone of the production system with adjustments in various places to reflect the different paths.But our main files, ORDERS, PAYMENTS, and some others, are distributed files, and the distribution algorithms are equivalent on both test and production, as are the number of partitions.So, here are the questions:a) Can I refresh the data on test by simply copying the individual data portions from production to test?b) I recently fixed one broken file by copying the affected partfile from production to test, but maybe I didn't really.  It seems to work, but maybe I'm missing something.  I don't know for sure.  How can I be sure?c) And what about the stub files?  Are there even stub files on UV?  Do they contain the paths in which they were configured?d) Where can I find the latest, on-line documentation about this?-----------

I tried miniconda back in October and have been forced into looking at it againInstall went clean - using public server (I hope - no way to confirm)conda list shows me packages from condaserver.rocketsoftware.com/apu/repoTrying to create an environment --- everything goes sount with lots of not found message for the .so fileslike CEE3501S The module /u/tech905/.ffi/v_P.so was not found.the .ffi related messages happen for a lot of conda functions and the conda list shows a url that i think requires a login How the heck to I get this to work?The instructions are not helpful at all -  just saying 'confirm the installation directory and channel'    I do not even know where these are stored or what they are supposed to look like.   Rather than give working examples or a cookbook they wave their hands and refer me to general conda documentation that does not know z/OS from a hole in the groundThis is INSANE

Hi everyone, we recently tried upgrading one of our dev environments from VC 7 pu 04 to VC 7 pu 05. ("setup_visualcobol_devhub_7.0_patchupdate04_290113_suse_x64" -> "setup_visualcobol_devhub_7.0_patchupdate05_290480_suse_x64") We use the option  "4. Manual License Installation." as license activation mechanism from /var/microfocuslicensing/bin/cesadmintool.sh Unfortunately we ran into some licensing issues regarding the MFSafeNet.service, after installing the newest VC 7 pu 05 Version. We get a licensing error, when running cobol programs, eventhough the license still is registered. We had no similiar problems with VC 7 pu 04. Execution error : file ''error code: 247, pc=0, call=1, seg=0247     Licensing error (Error[5]: Cannot talk to the license server on host "127.0.0.1". Server may not be running.) Apparently the systemd service "MFSafeNet.service" only starts the "lserv" now, but not the "mfcesd" process anymore: VC 7 pu 04: systemctl status MFSafeN

As part of a code-signing initiative, I am working with SHA256 digests on z/OS.  In the past, I would download files to a Linux or Windows machine and verify that the hashes matched expected values. But for some reason, Rocket openssl (OpenSSL 1.1.1h 22 Sep 2020) yields different digest values (openssl dgst -sha256) than Linux or WIndows. Problem with load testing with CTG. I uninstalled and reinstalled Visual Studio 2019 to try to get rid of this error and it persists, and fails to create a new .  After reiinstalling Visual Studio, I started the vcvs2019_60 installer and chose the Repair option. After I create a new COBOL project in Visual Studio, the license message re-appears and the new project is abandoned and is never created. Any ideas?

I am using Extend 10.4.2.  The Programmer Guide describes various HTTP commands, including Get, Post, Put, Delete, etc.  But I cannot find one for Patch.  is that available?  The resource I need to update only allows Patch...#RMNet#extend

I will not bother pasting code because that does not seem to be the issue.  I have SQL in an internal PROC to grab details about a vendor record.  When I run the code in the program, it codes not find the values SQLSTATE 02000.  When I run the SQL from the command line while in debug for the same session (read:library list), the SQL works.  Go figure!!! Am I correct in assuming that it is not possible to set the TN3270 listener so that it only accepts particular TN3270 screen sizes? I can see that you can set a default but not restricted the accepted values. The problem is that the embedded Rumba TN3270 client defaults to 27x132, with no way I can see to change it. This doesn't work with my IMS application, which only has the MFS defined for 24x80. I know I can switch to another TN3270 client that does permit setting the terminal size. But, I'm wondering why do I have to? After all, on the real mainframe our TN3270 clients are set to mod 5 (27x132), but they automatically conform to the logmodes set by the VTAM applications. For example, when I select ISPF, my terminal is mod 5, but when I select an IMS region, the terminal is restricted to mod 2 -- without having to change the terminal settings. So it seems like there should be a way to define this in Enterprise Server, but I can't find it.#EnterpriseDeveloper

i am getting a runtime error "Load error : file '_EXTNAME'". I am using external Variables. Ubuntu cobol server 7.0 (Update 4). On V6.0 it works fine. Is there a path or a file missing?

Status: DeliveredBy default, we will take the previous version after another checkout of a component. It would be helpful if this frequent process could be done in one workstep.If a component during its modification was changed at the baseline, the new baseline version of the component must be taken over again in the package via checkout. Afterwards the developer will check the last modification version against the new baseline version.   Our standard process is, the previous version is reactivated in the package after the checkout.   Because we process a large amount of components in this way, it would be helpful for us to be able to do this in one work step (checkout and reaktivating the last modification version).
