We're testing GitZMF and it works in the right direction of adding "new protocols" to access mainframe sources. It's clear how to use it while developing from VSCode or similar. We would like also to use it when we've to orchestrate processes like source scanning, security scanning and so on. It would be great to use the git protocol instead of setting up FTP or custom scripts. At the moment of course we cannot use it because the "prerequisite" is creating a ChangeMan package on the mainframe and a gitZMF pull would work from the package. Can you think of developing something in the GitZMF for getting sources from the baseline maybe for a full application + type key? We know that there is a big gap between a non-mainframe project (where all the sources are "pulled" for working) and a mainframe project where we usually take a specific subset (the package) but still we would also need a way to "pull" the full application... Fortunately, Uniface provides several increasingly detailed logging options to help you optimize your ProcScript or investigate issues such as why a userver won't start.  The following tips apply to ide.asn, urouter.asn, userver.asn, and uniface.asn. The settings are also documented in the Uniface library.    $PUTMESS_LOG_FILE  This is the most commonly used log file setting. It writes the message frame to a file. $PUTMESS_LOG_FILE records what the Uniface process is doing in sequential order, with an emphasis on OS calls. I've not ventured back to VS Code for a fair while, so have some questions and things that need clarification.My understanding for searching through the community posts what when you start vs code (such as from the command line 'code . ') if an existing .cblproj file exists it is read and the compile directives used, SQL directives and copybook paths.I seem to find this isn't true. Hi sb users, I'll share a vsCode extension to edit Sbparagraph code.  Use a trigger on XXPROCESS to sync P type in a Directory.  Use sftp/sync to have it on the client Edit your code Use a ssh RUN program to sync back, copy into XXPROCESS, regen the process (like f2), run GC. It return ProblemMatcher info.  Capabilities : syntaxe coloris, all sb common vars, all SBExpression, all sbSubrs, Formater (indent), Hover, SignatureHelp. Hi FreaksAll our components do have a component local variable $INSTANCEPROPERTIES$To check certain things at entity level, our entity operations (on model-level) does have some code which reads/write to $INSTANCEPROPERTIES$Compiled component works without any error.But when compiling the entity operations at there own, I got an error(OP_OCC_INIT) error: 1000 - Component variable '$INSTANCEPROPERTIES$' not found any idea to supress this error? BTW: Even the entity is not valid, says the compiler. We are in the process of converting a native application to COBOL .NET and I would like to know a couple of things Is the use of SQLDA supported in COBOL .NET? Folks: I'm working on a program that's checked out to another developer. I can edit the program without a problem, but the compile option is disabled. I can submit a compile from the green screen. There doesn't seem be a lot of good (modern/supported) solutions for the Mac in the 3270 emulation space.  Passport for Host Access on Windows is great, but let down by having to "remote" into a Windows Platform to run it.  I've seen plenty of "web based" emulator options offered, but running 3270 emulation in a browser tends to miss on the important productivity features, like good keyboard mapping, script support etc. I have had some success in the past with W.I.N,E and CrossOver (emulating the required (Windows) functions/APIs, but not an option due to security concerns at my shop.  Is Rocket looking to port to a native client? - What is everybody else using, while we wait?------------------------------Eoin O'CleirighANZ Banking Group LimitedMelbourne VIC AU------------------------------
