Hi, I'm trying to print a form with a string justified on the right margin of the page On version 8.0 of rmcobol I used the function P$TextOutRightJ but on rm12 it doesn't work The string is not costant so I can have "abcdefgh"  "abcd "   "ab " etc, and with the P$TextOutRightJ I had always the last right characters of the string aligned on the right of the position I want Example   77  STRING PIC X(55). call "P$TextOutRightJ" using STRING 19,5 27,60 How can do this ? #uniface-10So, if I have a mature database, and I want to look at using the procs:on setting in the driver (MSS), is there any way of generating just the procs creation scripts? Hi The version of OpenSSL (libssl.so) with this version of Uniface is 1.0.2n.  We are experiencing a known issue due to the version of OpenSSL being below 1.1.0.  The only fix would be to replace libssl.so with a newer version, which we have as we are testing Uniface 10.4.01.001 (OpenSSL 1.1.1i). Is it as simple as switching out the file? or would we need a Q Patch incorporating an updated libssl.so? whichever route we take we would be carrying out testing before releasing to our own customer base. I am trashing all of my current miniconda efforts and hoping the old ways still work.Too much 'assumed' lnowledge from the Linux world (bash shell for example) is not in my 30 year z/OS history.  I can stumble around basic commands and super simple scripts, but this miniconda thing is a monster.   I did manage to get miniconda under my $HOME directory and it can query the public channel web site.Creating local environments and attempting to install actual open source (like Perl) failes spectacularly.what the heck is a .so file and why didn't it create them when I defined a new environment?  ../.ffi/*.so files not available or found.How do you select where to install the open source.  At the end of the day what would end up in my General User $PATH variable.I was trying to update my Open software (last done in 2015).   But this way is just not going to cut it.    It all looks simple in the pdf downloaded instructions until it cheaps out with a web link to a conda website for how to lear

Hi, We have developed a program that takes advantage of the XML and Rmnet extensions, to extract some information from a website by interacting with a SOAP web service.On the Windows operating system, the program (compiled with the -Ze option) works perfectly and was developed with the help of libraries: xmlif.dllrmnet.dll Problems arose when running functioning tests also on Linux system (Red Hat)From the examples in our possession we are instructed to use the libraries: libxmlif.solibrmnet.so But after several attempts, these are not recognized as cobol libraries We also tried setting the variablesSHARED_LIBRARY_LIST e SHARED_LIBRARY_EXTENSION, without any success. I do not understand why it not available. I'm getting started with an evaluation version of Relativity and I try to create a new catalog in Designer. I choose File -> Create New Data Source. I select Micro Focus Relativity Data Manager. Then I click the Create Catalog button and select a file name. I'm getting "ASLM: Semaphore failure." error. I've executed ASLMPCLOCATE as instructed but no change. Running Process Monitor shows that it's looking for IDELINK.DLL but I can't find it on my drive. Anybody knows what I'm missing? Thank you!

This article explains that the COBOL Profiler tracks CPU time rather than elapsed wall clock time. Problem: Does the Profiler keep track of elapsed (wall clock) time? When using the Profiler to measure performance, I see that the total time it reports is less than the total elapsed time for the program, based on the time of day. Resolution: The COBOL profiler does not keep track of elapsed (wall clock) time, instead it tracks CPU time. In our site, we use CMNVPOOL variables at various stages of a package, created  auto-mechanisms that are triggered by the variables, Etc..  At the moment, to maintain the variables it has to be done only within the HLLX environment. I am wondering if we can have a PGM utility, which we can execute via BATCH to Delete, Put, or even Define variables directly into the CMNVPOOL. What do you reckon ? /Flint#CMNVPOOL#HLLX#ZMF

Good Morning  I am getting misleading TIMEOUT Message. What I am doing:  I have transaction, run 24*7*365, calls COBOL program which in turn calls API using RMNet. Initially, when transaction is started RESPONSE-STATUS from RMNet functions [NETINIT, HttpSetConnectTimeout, HttpSetTimeout, HTTPPOST]  is 0. And NetGetError gave Message = "no error, don't panic!".   After sometime RESPONSE-STATUS from RMNet functions is 0. But at same time, NetGetError gave Message = "Timeout was reached".  Response is proper but getting misleading message. Using CONNECITON TIMEOUT =1 sec and RESPONSE timeout = 1 SEC. Am I doing something wrong ?
