Good morning: I am having this error "Error invoking unauthorized copy of runtime. Semaphore function error (Loc 809)." when I run a series of routines, the problem is that some days it runs fine without errors and others it begins to give this error. Anyone have any idea why? I don't really have stability in the process. Thanks in advance.

Hi allIn a thin client environment i need to print a report with no prompt.So before the calling of "@[DISPLAY]:AcuBenchPrintExecWBBPrint" I move the name of the desired printer in the ACU-PRINTER-NAME parameter (with a X"00" at the string's end) but the print job goes always to the default printer and not the one I want.I read printer's name by WIN$PRINTER routine.I work with Acu 7.0.Testing not in a thin client environment worked fine. Hi everybody I made a simple .NET control that incapsulate a WebView2 browser from Microsoft. Those are the steps I did: Build the library as .NET dll file Tested the library using it in a WindowsFrom project: it works (events are fired and handled) Used NetDefGen utility to create the COBOL definition for the .NET library Made a simple COBOL program that uses the control Copied all the needed dll in the same directory the acuthin.exe is Created the NetEvents.ini file in the same directory Throw Thin-Client a run the COBOL program The control itself seems to work: The control is rendered in the window I can set any public property of the .NET control and it works I can inquire any public property of the .NET control and I have it There is only a thing that doesn't work: COBOL program doesn't handle any event. We have updated our servers to Windows 2019. In this process we had to re-add the licenses for Micro Focus Net express. We are now getting on a couple servers a error showing the license is expired. When we check the license it shows Full License. Is there something that we can change to make sure the full license sticks and does not intermittingly go away and come back? Our version is 5.116.0022.

So, I recently came across an issue where we have the 'same' menu in three different languages, and the two 'specialised' languages had not been kept up to date. I was trying to write a report component which compared usitem-usmenu with usitem_1-usmenu_1  (subtypes I created) where the first menu was language USA and the second one wasn't. The usmenu_1 entity is automatically getting the relationship equivalent to usmenu (which includes the language), making it impossible to set a read trigger for where the languages are different. I can't set up a relationship between usitem and usmenu_1 because it's a many to many relationship, in fact I can't set up the correct relationship between usmenu and usmenu_1, as the primary key needs an equivalent in both sides. So, I could do this using a u_where clause if the usmenu_1 subtype was explicitly not related to usitem. Hi Experts,There is a simple select statement in lose focus trigger of a field.The problem is it takes around 30 secs to execute in uniface but it takes fraction of a second when executed from toad not sure why there is so much of difference in timing ?  also u_where clause is used in query which has only a column in it which is primary key on table. Thanks,Imran. 

Anyone have any expierence with changes from Rumba 9.5 to 10.1  i have a user who in rumba 10.1  is f8 though a macro in the VB editor, and whenever she gets to the part in her Macro where the session screen changes, her mouse cursor jumps out of the editor into the session screen.  She just got updated from 9.5 to 10.1, and states that in 9.5, this did not happen...her cursor never jumped out of the VBA editor#Rumba

Gidday all, If the first and only release of Git for z/OS you installed on your system is 2.26 or higher you can ignore this post and exit now.  But if you installed releases prior to this, you COULD have problems when moving to 2.26. Prior to 2.26 the z/OS version of Git encoded its database in ISO8859-1 (aka ASCII) but from 2.26 and above the database is now encoded in UTF-8.   This means repos created with the older releases have to be re-encoded.  Rocket has updated Git to do the re-encoding automatically but depending on what characters are used in your repo, the their automatic re-encoding can create false results as seen here. Below is the output of a "git diff" between the master branch with a selected commit e45b11. Network Shares can be fast when only one user is working with a Vision file, especially when data is only being READ and not changing. This is because Windows Shares have been optimised for this kind of situation and a lot of caching happens.  AcuServer is faster when more than one user starts working with the same file. It delivers consistent results despite the number of users.  The following tests show that Network Shares are very fast with one user, but as the number of users increase, the performance of Network Shares dramatically decreases. AcuServer results are not as fast with a single user but remain consistent as the number of users increase.  NOTE: These tests may not reflect exactly how other programs works but the general trend should still apply. Hi, Earlier on this year there were discussions about converting from z/OS Git 2.14 to z/OS Git 2.26 and the change of encoding from ISO-8859-1 toUTF-8.     I'm finally getting around to upgrading to the latest level and was wondering what problems I may expect to find and how easy they are to fix. I've just done my first clone from github that was originally created with git 2.14. Yes, I come from the Turnover world, so I am still learning to speak Aldon.  I am looking for a simple step-by-step to create a service program. I would expect to create the module, a copy source with the interface, a bindery source (not a binding directory), and the instructions to wrap the pieces together as the final service program?  See samples. How does Aldon deal with the service program and signatures once we start using the tools and keeping the consumers up to date?

Hello, My organization just upgraded my computer from Office 2016 32-Bit to Office 365 64-Bit.  I have a lot of Macro Enabled Excel Workbooks that have a Rumba embedded Emulator window in them with various VBA macros that scrape the screen, enter data, etc.  After making the transition to Office 365, these emulator windows no longer connect. How can I embed a new emulator window in Excel 365? I cannot figure it out for the life of me.  We have way too many macros that depend on scraping an emulator window to go any other route.  I remember this being quite simple in Excel 32-Bit but I no longer see the options to drop a window on the sheet.  I apologize for not being very technical, this is all above my pay grade!
