Hi, We have developed a program that takes advantage of the XML and Rmnet extensions, to extract some information from a website by interacting with a SOAP web service.On the Windows operating system, the program (compiled with the -Ze option) works perfectly and was developed with the help of libraries: xmlif.dllrmnet.dll Problems arose when running functioning tests also on Linux system (Red Hat)From the examples in our possession we are instructed to use the libraries: libxmlif.solibrmnet.so But after several attempts, these are not recognized as cobol libraries We also tried setting the variablesSHARED_LIBRARY_LIST e SHARED_LIBRARY_EXTENSION, without any success. By checking the manual, we do not find a confirmation (for version 9.2.5) of these libraries. Hi I am trying to translate code from C# to Visual Cobol to allow numbered lists in a richtextbox on Windows Forms.  This is to replicate a similar feature from a different application we are scrapping.  The code I am having difficulty with is highlighted in red (same code highlighted in C# and Visual Cobol block), as I will explain. i just started working at a d3 shop after working with U2 for years. I am very surprised that D3 does not have the U2 AE editor. That AE editor makes it a breeze to view and modify VM and SVM data. I do not understand why it not available. I'm getting started with an evaluation version of Relativity and I try to create a new catalog in Designer. I choose File -> Create New Data Source. I select Micro Focus Relativity Data Manager. Then I click the Create Catalog button and select a file name. I'm getting "ASLM: Semaphore failure." error. I've executed ASLMPCLOCATE as instructed but no change. Running Process Monitor shows that it's looking for IDELINK.DLL but I can't find it on my drive. Anybody knows what I'm missing? Thank you!

This article explains that the COBOL Profiler tracks CPU time rather than elapsed wall clock time. Problem: Does the Profiler keep track of elapsed (wall clock) time? When using the Profiler to measure performance, I see that the total time it reports is less than the total elapsed time for the program, based on the time of day. Resolution: The COBOL profiler does not keep track of elapsed (wall clock) time, instead it tracks CPU time. Several sources of elapsed time will be left out of a profiler report: it does not keep track of time waiting for user input, neither does it track time when the process has spawned a child and is waiting for the child to return, nor does it report elapsed time in calls to databases. In our site, we use CMNVPOOL variables at various stages of a package, created  auto-mechanisms that are triggered by the variables, Etc..  At the moment, to maintain the variables it has to be done only within the HLLX environment. I am wondering if we can have a PGM utility, which we can execute via BATCH to Delete, Put, or even Define variables directly into the CMNVPOOL. What do you reckon ? /Flint#CMNVPOOL#HLLX#ZMF

Good Morning  I am getting misleading TIMEOUT Message. What I am doing:  I have transaction, run 24*7*365, calls COBOL program which in turn calls API using RMNet. Initially, when transaction is started RESPONSE-STATUS from RMNet functions [NETINIT, HttpSetConnectTimeout, HttpSetTimeout, HTTPPOST]  is 0. And NetGetError gave Message = "no error, don't panic!".   After sometime RESPONSE-STATUS from RMNet functions is 0. But at same time, NetGetError gave Message = "Timeout was reached".  Response is proper but getting misleading message. Using CONNECITON TIMEOUT =1 sec and RESPONSE timeout = 1 SEC. Am I doing something wrong ? Hi, I have installed MV Basic for Visual Studio Code. It's really cool. I could open a basic programs folder, but could not connect to the database, so I can't compile, or have the additional features I saw it provides when connected.  I have followed the documentation of this Forum, downloaded the JDK 11 from the indicated link, placed its path in the MV Basic Extension configuration, and created the following .rmv/db.mvbasic.json file:{"db": {"host": "192.168.2.100","userName": "root","password": "123456","account": "ALEDB","dataSource": "UNIVERSE","port": 31438},"includes": [{"includeFile": "BP","account": "ALEDB", "fileName": "BP"}]}  First of all, whenever I open a Universe Basic, the following message appears in VS Code:Java 11 or Open JDK runtime environment is abnormal. Hi - I need a help to locate copybook version used in RM/COBOL obj modules. Problem :  My platform maintained 2 version of  same copybook.  Ex: Folder#1     Copybook:-  C1.CPY Ex: Folder#2     Copybook:-  C1.CPY I have list [cannot be trusted] which tell me to call shell#1 [using Folder#1] to compile or sell#2 to compile[Folder#2] for a program. Mostly, I need to find once start working in a program. I have listing file that also cannot be trusted.  I have huge number of programs to be compiled. Is it possible to find out any information from load  or some other way  like generating listing from COBOL load? #RMCOBOL
