Hello,We have a program that is throwing a memory access violation, when being ran from a script on a Linux server. When we run the program in debug on the same server, it runs through, no problem. The same exact program and script run on AIX with no issues.Could anyone suggest a solution, or the best way to troubleshoot this issue? Thanks...

I am getting the error 173 - Called program file not found in drive/directory SQLADR when running cobol v5  in Visual Studio 2019 using database Oracle 18, 32  bit.I have put litlink in additional directives under COBOL (anim cobidy warnings"1" max-error"100" litlink) and have put the path to the oracle 18 lib in COBOL LINK 'link with libs'That fixed the problem of connecting, but I still get the 173 called program file not found in drive / directory SQLADR when I try to call a program in another project.  This worked previously in VS 2013, cobol 2.3.I do notice that there are only two references to microfocus in 'about' - IMTK client generator and cobol 5, where there used to be 6.   #sqladr#notfound#173

Could you please point me to the latest most detailed documentation on getting AcuXDBC 32 bit version 10.3.1 working with a 32 bit version of MS SQL Server Management Studio Linker Server I am hoping/expecting that MS SQL server will overcome the restriction that I am encountering when using MS Access in that I can only read in 256 columns. I have attached a word document showing my current setup in which I am employing a version 9.01 ACUXDBC . It may be better simply to provide the info on exactly step by step it should be done rather than trying to work out what I have done wrong.

I am building an ODM/ORM for my system in Python. With the intent of making my queries and writes into UV more pythonic and easier to code (I am VERY lazy). For me this is primarily allowing read and writes to and from UV with a Python dictionary leveraging the readnamedfields() and writenamedfield() within the u2py.File class. While I have a specific issue below, I think there is room for a general discussion around u2Py error handling. My specific issue lies in getting "u2py.U2Error: (3) unknown " back in my trace. I am getting this error back when trying to write data to a record I have open in editor (so the file is locked). While I would expect to get an error here, I would also expect that error to be a little more descriptive of what the issue is. I have a couple questions that should hopefully give me a good path forward here...1. Are there plans to improve the u2Py module's error handling in the near term future? 2. Having seen the question about WAS, I checked what the OP was talking about and found the "Work Area Support" utility. We've been using uniface for 15 years now, and since the demise of the UVS version control, we've had no formal version control in place. So I have zero experience of using the various text-based VC systems this allows us to interface with. We are having trouble connecting to Corvu and is coming up with an error of "The calendar could not be created" "Please chcek that the specified calendar files actually exist" And it does not give us the logon screen to get in. I am knew to the organization and it is probably an easy fix but as I am not ofay with Corvu I am chasing my tail at the moment. Product: Legasuite Windows Client (NOT THE WEB EDITOR)I am having issues using the ScriptExec() function for creating user functions. I have been successful in using it to run scripts (script_type 0) and creating structures (script_type 1), but when using it to create User Defined Functions (script_type 2 according to the documentation) it crashes the client window when a call to the function is made. I have tried it both with loading the function from a file and running it directly from a variable. I have tried the most basic of functions and example functions from the documentation. All give the same result.I am wondering why this crashes on functions but scripts and structures work without issue. I have looked through all of the documentation on the ini settings and did not find anything relating to user defined functions. Looking for a COBOL programmer to help troubleshoot and correct, possible having to create a logging program, an issue within our EDI module.  The system is replacing the current system date with a date from 2004 and we don't understand why.  Needing a programmer to look into this on contract work.  System was programmed using a Micro Focus complier, but was told it was an older version, and the new version cause problems.Andrew Nussel**PERSONAL INFORMATION REMOVED**

Hi,When I show the contents of a batch output file to the screen it shows all pages in it.But when I use to print to the screen with the print/preview statement it shows only first 2 pages. The other pages are not showed. With the buttons Prev and Next I can scroll but only 2 pages.In the output file there is FF characters (FormFeed) before each page header.If I remove one of these then the page is showed in the current page.This occurs in 9.7 and even in 10.3 version. Is there a solution for this problem?

This week I’ve discovered the power of the string handling syntax that’s built into the Managed COBOL language. If you're not familiar with it, it’s well worth a look... We'll start by looking at a code sample, then we'll discuss the syntax.
