we have had a recent issue with QMRESTORE creating files with casing on. Once the restore is done, we are having trouble with cases of dictionary items, etc (coming from D3 environment). I delete the file then I do      create.file FRT.CHG NO.CASE copy the data and dictionaries from a temp file back into my newly created file, and all works as I would expect. Can I change a fie to be case insensitive without re-creating it. We are using this utility to move some Universe data to QM. Works good. This utility makes us select the files to move, and we now have a list of data files to move. we would like to automate this so, that I could call a program and somehow move like 8 or 10 files, instead of manually selecting the files. I am wanting to update the positions of fields on a form multiple times a second as if they are being animated. I'm struggling to find a way to do this. I tried using sleep in a while loop but it causes the UI to hang.Looking around, the UTimer or some kind of periodic messaging to run triggers may work, but I don't know how to use those things.  Any thoughts? ------------------------------R TEmporerRocket Software Forum Member------------------------------

Hi Team, We recently migrated from Uniface v10.3 to v10.4, and after completing the migration and configuration setup, we've encountered an issue. The problem arises specifically when the application is accessed from outside the server (where the application is deployed). When executing the xmlload statement, the application crashes, and no logs are generated beyond that point. We have attached the relevant logs for reference. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or can provide insights into resolving this? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated! Good morning everyone, We have an issue with a TRANSACTION COMMIT failing with a STATUS = 3. The Unibasic subroutine containing the TRANSACTION START/COMMIT code is called from the outside as a web service. This failure is intermittent.  What can cause the STATUS code = 3 ? After upgrading from windows 12 to windows 19 there is a 50% degradation in performance. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a performance gain displaying lots of fields on a component. It's been a while since I had a need to do this. Anyway, I have a process that runs through a file to move data to another system.  I like using the spooler for this since it makes it easy to verify the data. The secondary print will deal with some corresponding multi-values that can be too large to flatten out in the main print job.  Since both are running from the same file it would be nice to be able to print both reports at the same time.  My alternative is to build a sequential file for the 2nd report and copy it to the spooler. I just bought a copy of OpenQM to test some of my applications.  My first program to test is a main menu.  In this MVBASIC program I draw a character outline around the border of the screen, the fill in the menu options.  The program then calls a suproutine called XPRMT.  I use the XPRMT subroutine for all keyboard input in all programs, it is the only INPUT statement in my systems.  One of the parameters that I pass to XPRMT is PSTR which is the prompt string which XPRMT prints at @(0,24), the bottom of the screen.  In UniVerse this routine works perfectly, but in OpenQM it was displaying the PSTR value over the bottom line of the border which is row 23.  My last line printed in the menu program was the log off selection at row 22.  After much code changing in XPRMT, I modified the menu program to display the menu selections first and the draw the border and that presented everything properly.  What I see is that even though the XPRMT instruction is "PRINT@(0,24):PSTR;", PSTR is being

Right now my RESTful calls come back as Error 500 unable to connect during a dbpause.  If I turn on the serverdebug I can see in the logfile the message: dbpause is set, try logging in later (or something like that).  I see the same message from telnet logins. Hello, i send json data with curl z/os using rexx bpxwunix. 1) the json is accepted if i put the data  1047 encoded into an untaggged file  using --data @/filexxxx . but i do not want to use files for this 2) A  trace shows me if i put the same bytes  into stdin stem in  rexx (using --data @-  its not converted, so the server does not accept the garbage sent. I am using an older version of curl, but i found no hint that a newer version will  help here?? Any ideas? I could build into the rexx my own translation table to convert the stdin data to 8859-1. but can i avoid it somehow? Hi, as we are using vowel mutations in our programs. I would like to know if there are any plans, for the future, to implement a encoding option in the Profile or a settings option including a encoding option. Because as of now, there are no options to specify the encoding type of the downloaded Program/Component. I looked in the CLI and there wasn't an option as well. I don't know if this is already in progress to implement, or if it's beeing already discussed, but it would be great if this could be implemented. Thanks in advance.
