Has anyone had success using the REGEX function?  I was trying to take advantage of it as it would be more compatible with the Javascript devs, but it always returns false.   Here's my example: CRT REGEX('33333','/^\\d{5}(?:-\\d{4})?$/')   This returns zero (0) for me.  Yet, it should match just fine.  :( This is on QM 4.0-7 ------------------------------Ben Cramer DSI Solutions LLCMansfield TX US------------------------------

back with another question, hopefully this is the last one! when we downloaded d3 linux 10.3.4 there were also three patch files available, 17, 18, & 19 is this a situation where patch 19 contains all the updates from prior ones? or is each patch its own standalone fix? basically what i'm asking is, do we have to apply every patch individually & in order? or can we just apply patch 19 and ignore the prior two? thanks in advance!

Hello,Is there any plans on porting screen or tmux to USS? It's something I miss when working on USS.Otherwise I saw somewhere that rocket uses gcc to compile (cross-compile?) tools to Z. Is z supported by gcc out of the box, either cross compiling or running in USS?, or is there a fork somewhere, or is it something rocket made in house? i have another question, this time as per subject line i'm trying to set up the d3telnet turnkey stuff, on almalinux 9.4 where xinetd is not available. the admin.pdf talks about using xinetd and doesn't mention any other possibilities. i've searched the forum for 'xinetd' & 'turnkey' & found this post: D3 and mvBase which included a clue re. setting up a d323@.service so i tried to copy that manually then started it with systemctl. it failed though, and some digging revealed that the /usr/bin/d3net/d3_tel command doesn't accept either -w or -p arguments. i poked at it a bit and got the following: Usage: mve_tel [-debug4 | -debug6] [-h] [-n] [-N] [port] but i haven't been able to find where any of those options are defined, and at this point i'm not sure i'm even following the right lead. i've checked all the PDFs that came in the d3 10.3.4 download, and like i said i've searched on here, but i haven't managed to find what i'm looking for. is there a published guide somewhere t

Hello there, we are currently migrating from Visual Cobol for Eclipse 7 to Visual Cobol for Eclipse 9. A few users of our users have already installed the new Version Visual Cobol for Eclipse 9 (PU 04) under Windows. Some of our users experienced the error  "Problem occured: 'Debug Source Display' has encountered a problem. An internal error has occured - Null argument" while debugging. While Debugging, a window pops up with that error message, and after closing the error-window, no more Cobol sources nor Cobol copies are displayed, but the debugger is still attached. Eclipse then asks for cobol copy (ALCTRCMA.cpy), which should be familiar, because it is already known to the project. The error window itself pops up, after taking a few steps (F5) in the Remote Debugging perspective. I attached a screenshot of the issue in question. i'm working on a fresh install of almalinux 9.4 and d3 10.3.4, setting up a new box that we plan to migrate a much older d3 install onto within the next month or so. i don't have a ton of experience with alma (or centos7 which the old box is running, or any other rhel variants), so i'm kind of figuring my way through as i go. anyways the problem i've run into now is TLLicMgr is failing to start on its own, and i tracked it down to systemctl reporting that rslm has failed.  here's the error message i get when i do systemctl status rslm.service systemd[1]: Starting Rocket Software License Manager... TLLicMgr[1904]: Unable to create pipe</usr/lib/pick/.LS.NP3><17> TLLicMgr[1905]: Log file is not open TLLicMgr[1905]: Failed to Create File: Permission denied TLLicMgr[1905]: Failed to initialize. Greetings Micro Focus Community! We use RM/Cobol with the WOW Extension Designer. There are three functions that are pretty commonly referenced in our applications called WOWSETPROP, WOWGETPROP, and AXDOMETHOD. I see they use a variety of parameters/methods like 'SortColumn', 'ListIndex',  'Text', etc. Does anyone know if there is documentation out there for all of the available parms for WOWSETPROP, WOWGETPROP, and AXDOMETHOD?

Hi All, We are migrating our 32-bit application from Solaris to RHEL 8.8. We are using Enterprise Developer 6 and planning to upgrade it to 8 once the migration is completed with the same configuration as in Solaris. We are running Cobol program which reads table data and prints accounting extract with credit and debit summary after compiling the Cobol programs in RHEL environment.  We are facing rts32 : Error 114 encountered during finalization error when running the .gnt but it is working fine when running with .int. In both the cases Output extract is getting generated successfully and program is not stopping abruptly. This includes scenarios like using U2 Replication or any secondary mechanisms for failover, all of which need additional licenses.   My client is resistant to replicating their D3 Production environment and is also hesitant about the alternative solution of maintaining a separate D3 machine with minimal configuration. Some things I'd like to see. Ability to manage (view/edit/git) MV source that exists in hashed files - VOC, Dicts, etc. (maybe like the SQLTools extension). Code folding support. Option to format document so auto code block folding works. eg PROGRAM/SUBROUTINE, labels and RETURNs are hard left, comments and everything else indented to a minimum of the default margin, etc. Fix use of code folding markers [this can be manually set but something is interfering]. Is it possible to write COBOL code that will print text (not on the screen but to an actual printer) in a specific font. For example, is it possible to write code that will print to my printer the line “Test 1” in sans-serif or in any other font that I choose? I am able to print bold text on my printer with the WRITE statement, but I simply do not know how to print text in a specific font with a COBOL command. I am using Visual COBOL v9 on a Windows 10 pro. Thanks in advance.
