Hi, we are currently migrating a big application from BS2000 mainframe to linux using MF Visual COBOL V9. There are indexed data files that contain 2 identical data sentences (completely identical - indentical primary key aswell) in mainframe. With ProcScript code formatting, you can correct or improve your code indentation to increase readability and understanding. You can apply formatting on a selected portion of code using the Format Selection option or format the entire document using the Format Document option, both available from the Code Editor’s popup menu. You can change the shortcut keys for these menu options to your liking in the [USERKEYS] section of the usys.ini file. The default is Alt+F (Selection) and Alt+Shift+F (Document). Formatting rules Indent all code blocks, such as if, endif, while, endwhile, params, variables, etc. It does not indent block data, line continuation in strings, and JavaScript inside proc-script. The Undo (Ctrl+Z) action restores the code to the original state of the code before the formatting action. Code indentation is not currently applicable to the HTML

Hi Freaks Could it be that a program crach after using $ude?Or better: Yes it crash without any reason (just check in Uniface 9, but I observer this behavior also im UnifAce 10)I do have a simple form, which list all globale procedures.Then I use a button "Compile" which goes through the entry and compiles a procedure with      $1 = $ude("compile", "proc","%%ULABEL.UPRC%%%","library=%%UVAR.UPRC%%%")(I create a view UPRC to be compatible to Uniface 10)After the loop all looks okay, until the first call to a global procedure is executed.(This procedure is not related to they just compiled ones)Uniface try to call the procedure (can be seen in the proctracing) but crash immediately without any further informationIngo------------------------------Ingo StillerAareon Deutschland GmbH------------------------------

Was looking to find a way to keep an eye on MVIS performance.  I found Perfstats_PER_REQ.log file which is pretty close to what we want.  One line logged per MVIS request, contains source IP info, account that the request was directed to, wait time, execution time and total time, almost everything.  The one thing that is missing is the subroutine that was being called.  If that was there, we'd have a good chance to keep track of subroutines that might have a long ResponseTime consistently and could look into it further.  i've looked at the mvis.log file.  Trouble with that is that it doesn't have a lot of information in diagnosing performance issues at the subroutine level unless the logging level is turned up to DEBUG, which causes quite a bit of noise in the log file.   Wondering if there might be a way to more directly tie an entry in the PER_REQ.log file to what subroutine it was calling.  This would help at least to know which sub would

I have to upgrade my Net Express project into Visual Cobol. So please let me know what licence do we need for Visual Cobol.

We have a very recent issue I cannot explain.  This just started and will cause us some major headaches.  Here is the example: SELECT ITMMST WITH F1 = "64" F1 is defined as A20, not numeric.  I am getting 3 results: 64, 000064, and 0064.   I can see how a numeric search would give those results, but I am searching a string and need only the exact match in the results.  Any idea why this would start for all users, in all databases... all of a sudden?

I have an MVIS dynamic array defined that has 24 items defined, whose locations are 1-24. However, when MVIS send these to the subroutine, I am seeing 4 <blank> values coming in that I cannot account for: Yes                    <--location 20 No                     <--location 21 F24                   <--location 22 <blank> <blank> <blank> <blank> 220557            <--location 23 6.00                  <--location 24 I have tried deleting and re-adding the last 3, restarted the integration server & even changed the order of the fields but it continues to send the 4 blank values. Any ideas of what might be causing this?  It has been fine up until this week when these last 3 fields were added. Hello friends and colleagues! I am running #AccuTerm v8.0.1026 with a premium license issued by Zumasys. This version doesn't show any updates available and I have questions about features and the futrure of this software. 1) Almost all of my work these days is with #Ubuntu Linux and AccuTerm continues to satisfy most needs. I'm hoping to integrate AccuTerm more with the OS, and see this fine application being referenced in Linux-centric circles. Does Rocket have a similar vision? 2) These days it wouldn't be "too" tough to convert critical host code from FP.BP to JavaScript and run from shell, ideally with NodeJS rather than MV. Is anything being done on that front? 3) Since AccuTerm responds to escape sequences from the host, any host, has there been any effort to define or wrap common features at the OS level to invoke functionality in the client? For example: CHAR(27):CHAR(2):'>notepad.exe':CHAR(13):CHAR(27):CHAR(2):'I' That sequence from BASIC can easily be sent from the Linux

I created a support ticket for this as well and have read knowledge base article 00001990, but I'm casting a wide net in hopes that someone can help. We're migrating from LegaSuite GUI  8.5.4 to MX Web 10.4.3  and are struggling with the "hit" to our development time that's being caused by the performance of Live Tests for MX Web from the Workbench. Launching a live test takes 2 - 3 minutes on our local machines.  Our Live Tests refresh automatically for page changes, which is great. However, screen and script changes don't take effect until the session is restarted. Working in a large complex application, especially during a migration, requires a lot of back-and-forth when working with scripts. At 2 - 3 minutes per launch, the performance penalty adds up very quickly. Do you have any tips for optimizing the performance of Live Test launches? I'll attach a screenshot showing hardware/software summary info for my system.

often like to use VSCode to quick view some projects to pull snippets from them. However, this leads to a ton of additional .vscode folders with folllowing settings.json being placed on any folder.   {     "[rocket-mvbasic]": {         "editor.codeLens": false     } } Is there a way to disable this folder from being created every time vscode loads somewhere new? On my machine Netexpress will not start correctly when i show with Microfocus License Management Configuration Tool i can see that i had full license by starting netexpress i see a message that windows want to configure Netexpress, by can not do this correctly. I think taht Wise Disk Cleaner or Wise Registry Cleaner had remove hidden license files, but why say Licence Management "Full license" Have anybody a solution? Thanks for help!

Hello. How can I solve the problem "Screen window type does not match picture window type"?

Hi AllI've been baffled by this, but I will regard the instance as possible serendipity!By chance (and a good measure of trust) I copied the original load of D3 of the Pick0 file into my home directory (in Linux)This Pick0 would only have 16 ports etcI then proceed to amend the number of ports to a greater number. The manual for 10.3 states to reload D3 - which I did :) I now discover that starting D3 from my home directory takes THAT entry (of Pick0) rather than the true entry in /usr/lib/pick!!!!I guess this "could be great" in a development environment when you wish to have a minimum number of pibs, but it is rather confusing when it doesn't take what you amended in as the /usr/lib/pick/pick0 entry.So, tip - launch D3 from /usr/lib/pickRocket - please be aware of this - unless otherwise.Also, can anyone give me a reason why Linux kills D3 processes? Especially when I do a backup/restore or even a re-index. Is it swap space? memory?Thanks Stefano
