I am no longer able to compile BASIC programs using the Connection.The program I am editing and attempting to compile DOES BELONG TO THE ACCOUNT I AM CONNECTED to, but this error has began recently. I'm not aware of any changes (perhaps VS Code extension updated?)Any steps I can take to troubleshoot and/or workaround this issue? NOTE: this is only a problem with v1.8.0  I reverted back to 1.7.0 and this issue has gone.

Hi All,Is there a way from ECL to generate a list of all indexes on all files? (And the index attributes)I know I can do a LIST.INDEX FN at the ECL prompt file by file, and I could script running through all VOC records that are files, but I cant seem to pipe and append this ouput to a text file. I have setup a subroutine endpoint to my database but on trying to perform a POST action in an intranet webpage it is getting a CORS error and going through a preflight.  Is there a way to configure the server to allow cross origin?nb. MVIS and apache are running on the same machine

I have used AccuTerm in limited fashion, (text boxes and lists), in my character based systems.  I would like under the GUI AccuTerm to make the conversion behave as now.  Example from events management:  Customer demographics enter customer number or keyword which brings up a list of customers.  I can see this clearly in the DEMO examples.  Change prompt for customer demographics I invite an <O>ptions and display a little window offering options like <R>entals.  If selected it lists the customers existing rentals.  Selecting a rental the calls the rental summary screen with options.  The <B>uildings option lists buildings on the rental.  Selection of a building shows the details of the building portion of the rental, offers options, one is <I>tems which allows entry of table, chairs, etc.  I can see the in CM the forms DETAIL, LOGIN, and MAIN all in the same program.  The event management would require 7 fo

Hi,   I have two MV basic source tables in an account at the Universe server, let's say, account ACC_1 and source files BP_A and BP_B. I created a GitHub repository for each of them, and cloned them at my local machine.  I could successfully compile and catalog from MVVS BP_A sources, but then, when I opened BP_B folder in MVVS, I can't no longer compile from any of the tables. It keeps giving me the same error:  Compiling: Source = BP_B/SOURCE_FILE_X -----> Compilation ignored.The account to which the file belongs does not match the account connected to the server  When looking at the log, I can see that it is considering BP_B as the account instead of ACC_1.   How can I configure MVVS to be able to compile and catalog from any of the source files?  Should I have one local folder for the account, with subfolders for each source file?  Where does MVVS look for the account when compiling?  Any help appreciated  Regards  Enri

Hi,  I just installed the MV Basic VS Code Extension. I could open a Git folder with Basic programs, connect to the U2 server, and compile!   But I have a problem. The source file is not BP, has another name, and every program I open is recognized as "Plain Text". I have to click on "Plain Text" and then select "Rocket MV Basic" as language.  Is there any place where I should indicate the association to all the programs in the folder?  Regards,  Enrique

I am running Universe 11.3.4 on RHEL 7.7 using AccuTerm 7.3a as my emulator. When I login normally my backspace works. I need to use root permission for some of my phantoms. At TCL prompt I will SH to Unix level then su to root then uv back to universe. My backspace key quits working.  I can manually fix it by running a PTERM command. Hi, I configured the plugin to connect to my Unidata server, but I keep getting: "Failed to connect account". This is a remote server on my network. Also I'm aware I cannot modify the programs directly on the server. Is there a log that I can check to see what is the problem?  We also have some custom rpc service name, could that be a problem?I just want to be able to access the catalog programs so the GOTO Definition works, same for the include statements.Any help is greatly appreciated.Alejandro

I have created a REST service using MVIS, which will "listen" for inbound calls.Can it also be used to send outbound REST calls, or would that require a U2 program to utilize BASIC host subroutines (like createSecureRequest, etc.)  outside of MVIS?

I have a UniVerse customer, a county highway department.  Over the years we have accumulated a lot of lat/lon coordinates for different resources.  I would like to propose adding a GIS interface to the system.  My question, has anyone already done this to any multi value database and can you suggest products to research?  I have looked, a little, at ArcGIS because they have some low cost online training.

We have dozens of SOAP web services in production that were built using Web Services Developer Tool v4.23.0 (2017).  We now need to build RESTful web services and find the equivalent tool is RESTful Web Services Developer v4.63.0 (2017).These both seem to have been abandoned by Rocket in favor of MVIS.  The  MVIS data sheet says it requires UV 11.3.3 and we are currently running UV 11.3.1.  As we are going into a busy time of year, we cannot consider a UV upgrade until early 2023 at best.  However, we need to create. test and publish REST services in the next few months. Does anyone have any advice?

Years ago, in a different forum, someone posted a proc/paragraph they called LSELECT that, as I recall, allowed you to take a select list of values for a specific attribute in a file and select all the records in that file that contained any of the values in the select list. It was very clever.The machine I installed it on is long since off-line. If anyone else has it, I would love to recreate it on the machine I am on now.BTW, i am using Unidata 8.1

Does a command exist for UniData that will list all the data files with triggers in a data account?I could write a routine to do it, but I'd rather not reinvent a wheel that exists.Thank you

We use the replication monitoring phantoms - MONITOR.REPLOG and MONITOR.REPSTATUS.  While we can start/stop/update them manually, we used to have a VB-based application to do so - provided to us by Rocket.  Unfortunately, we've lost that software.  If it's readily available for download on the Rocket site, we have not been able to find it there.Where can I find the VB software for controlling the replication monitoring phantoms?Thanks in advance!Brian Paige

hi folks,I have the session 99 into a READU statement and lock is owned by  port 10 ... then 99 appears into Active waiters as a Waiter and Owner is 10. Now, I want to MASTER OFF 99 ...  nothing occurs ! no message, no error, no result. Is anyone known a method to kill a 'lock Waiter' session ? with kind regards manu

Hello community, I am facing this problem and hope anybody could help me. My site is running Unidata over Windows Server and MVIS to provide webservices.The problem is when the webservice receive extended characters, for example: á,é,ñ,Ñ and so on, the webservice subroutine uses UDO object to get the data from JSON parameter and write it to the file, but in this case of special characters, the data saved is completely different with other characters. And it is worse when that same data is pulled out by other webservices. All third-party providers that my site interact with indicate that the application cannot handle UTF-8 encoding properly.I will appreciate any help you could provide me.Thanks.
