by Jonke Korzelius We have enhanced the latest versions of Uniface with the option to have Uniface format your ProcScript. With ProcScript code formatting, you can correct or improve your code indentation to increase readability and understanding. You can apply formatting on a selected portion of code using the Format Selection option or format the entire document using the Format Document option, both available from the Code Editor’s popup menu. You can change the shortcut keys for these menu options to your liking in the [USERKEYS] section of the usys.ini file. The default is Alt+F (Selection) and Alt+Shift+F (Document). Formatting rules Indent all code blocks, such as if, endif, while, endwhile, params, variables, etc. It does not indent block data, line continuation in strings, and JavaScript inside proc-script. The Undo (Ctrl+Z) action restores the code to the original state of the code before the formatting action. Code indentation is not currently applicable to the HTML

Hi Freaks Could it be that a program crach after using $ude?Or better: Yes it crash without any reason (just check in Uniface 9, but I observer this behavior also im UnifAce 10)I do have a simple form, which list all globale procedures.Then I use a button "Compile" which goes through the entry and compiles a procedure with      $1 = $ude("compile", "proc","%%ULABEL.UPRC%%%","library=%%UVAR.UPRC%%%")(I create a view UPRC to be compatible to Uniface 10)After the loop all looks okay, until the first call to a global procedure is executed.(This procedure is not related to they just compiled ones)Uniface try to call the procedure (can be seen in the proctracing) but crash immediately without any further informationIngo------------------------------Ingo StillerAareon Deutschland GmbH------------------------------

Hi FreaksWe want to upgrade from version UnifAce 10.4.2.0-018 to version UnifAce 10.4.2.0-049.in particular because of the  bug UNI-32008  in the grid : "Grid context menu no longer appears after right-click in Uniface 10"As this problem only affects a few customers and other customers don't "like" to install a new version every month, we are thing about to use UnifAce 10.4.2.0-049 in development.We advise the customers who use the grid to upgrade, the other customers can stay with UnifAce 10.4.9.0-18.Is this possible?i.e. can we deploy UnifAce forms compiled under 10.4.2.0-049 to customers still using 10.4.9.0-18?TIA for any comment :-)Ingo------------------------------Ingo StillerAareon Deutschland GmbH------------------------------

Hi Apologies if this has previously been asked. We are embarking on a move of our entire estate to Windows 11 and I was just wanting to get some views as to the smoothness of transitioning, particularly in relation to using the 10.303 IDE and not just the developed code. Did anyone find any problems/solutions they'd like to share or was it all just plain sailing? I downloaded and installed uniface, registered on the website, received an email containing the Entitlement ID: 20a8c1c4-****-****-*****-************, however, at the end of the installation, when I go to activate the product the message appears: "Customer IDs do not match. Hi, When we use UPOPMAIL to send a mail on an Office365 account, the mail does not respect DKIM conditions : If the receiver applies DKIM condition, the mail sent by UPOPMAIL is spamed. Hi Unifacers with U9/U10 we succesfully read and write Microsoft Excel cells using the (very old) DDE method; so basically we open a Microsoft Excel file, and while open in the background doing the following: $50 = "Excel" $51 = "c:\\temp\\filename.xls" $52 = "R1C1" perform "UDDEREQUEST" and we get succesfully in $53 the value of the cell is there a way to do the same with LibreOffice Calc instead of Microsoft Excel? I googled something and just found that I should replace my instructions like this: $50 = "soffice" $51 = "c:\\temp\\filename.xls"                 (or filename.ods) $52 = "nameofthesheet.C1" but it does not work.. anyone tryed to do something similar? or you left alone DDE and went to other methods like OLE or others? a working example would be great thank you Simone------------------------------Simone PeccheninoLabinf Sistemi Srl IT------------------------------

Hello, I used the "open" and "close" instruction to connect on differents databases, changing the PathName of the connector $MQL. However, I want to verify if the connection is done on the correct database after open a new one, even if the $Status = 0. (I have cases where I put something wrong in the pathname, and $Status=0 however) Is there a Uniface instruction which can give me the pathname actually used? Hi Unifacers, we can't figure why in SOME installation we have hundreds and hundreds of userver.log files in customer servers, created every day already tryed to add or remove putmesslogfile, add or remove ioprint, add ioprint=0.. if we specify a different putmesslogfile name in ASN we can see them correctly renamed but thet're still there.. if we don't specify a filename then we get those hundreds of userver (+ PID) .log anyone else/idea? thank you Simone------------------------------Simone PeccheninoLabinf Sistemi Srl IT------------------------------

HiI'm putting a short question here before addressing license management.I tried to update my "Uniface 10.4.02.021 Distribution". As the newest distribution complained about my license, I tried some older distributions.It looks that I'm able to update to "Uniface 10.4.02.024 Distribution", but after that it starts to complain about the license.Has someone else noticed this? Is this something that will often happen, ie. the license has to be updated within the same Uniface version (eg. 10.4.02) ? I have found that signatures for components remain even after the component has been deleted.  I also, did not find a way to remove many signatures at once(except via sql). Hi Freaks My challenge:In a non modal world I have to check on FormLoseFocus some conditions and  ask the user how to proceed.I.e stay in the instance or leave it to the clicked one. Under certain circumstances, data is also storedAs mentioned in the documentation, in a FRLF trigger the allowed statments  are limited, especialy a ask-message should not be presented to the userSo my idea is to send a message to the current(old) instance (and return with -1) which calls the ASYNC-trigger. In this I can call check routines and ask the user,But now I run into a problem:If the user say leave the current instance and go to the clicked (new) instance, which instance is this?Question:Is there any way to get (in FRLF) the instance,  which should get the focus next? BTW: For the good old version 9.7  I did a comlpex ping-pong coding to get such information and handle checks and stores on FRLFBut with 10,4 the sequnce was changed and I did not find a way to implement our needs ...
