Hi, I have a weird issue with uniface 9.6.  When I try run a form for a particular record, Uniface crashes out ( Uniface 9 has stopped working).  But... when I run the same form with the same record in debug mode, I works fine. Has anyone seen this before?  What could be the cause./solution  Thanks for your help. I would like to call a secured web service with Uniface. To do this, I first have to call up an access token in ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) using a user, a password and a ClientId for a client. Can anyone tell me how this is implemented in Uniface? Hi all, As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm working with a customer who is considering  modernizing old Uniface 7 & 8.4 applications.  In the scenario where these apps remain in Uniface, they will be migrated to Uniface 10.4. I would like to understand the available tools and effort involved in order to add a web interface to the most important screens in the applications, while leaving the rest of the screens as they are.  I saw a white paper describing some of such abilities in the new Uniface versions, but it appears rather vague. Is there a document that explains these abilities more technically? Could you share from your experience how you have added a web interface to old Uniface applications, what tools you found useful to speed up the process and how much effort was involved? Do you know if when modifying some screens of the Uniface app to be web based while not modifying other screens in the Uniface app - can both of these types of screens be accessed from the same virt

Hello,We would like to set up a mobile application. This method uses internal resources.In fact, for EACH ACTION (e.g. clicking on a button with a "Public Web"), the session number is modified. Whereas the session number is only supposed to be renewed after 30 minutes of inactivity. Maintaining the session number is imperative, as it enables us to store information. Ex: the logged-in user.The session number ($item("SESSION", $webinfo("WEBSERVERCONTEXT"))) does not change when the same DSP is opened with a web browser or with the cell phone with external resources. Hi all, We are migrating Uniface from 10.3 to 10.4. After installing of all the Tomcat Webservice is not Running. After start of the service it is active for a while (maybe 30seconds) and  then stops itself. Server is Windows Server 2019 Standard. In the log is no errors to see: Even in the eventviewer we can't find anytrhing. Does someone knows why the service is stopped? Hello all, We are using the Uniface 10.3 and 10.4 IDE Utilities to build Deployment Archives for patches of our application. The Uniface Repository is kept in an Oracle Database. Since we has installed the latest patch (Rocket Uniface 10.4.02-050) the Deployment Archive tool is having problems. The error ORACLE Driver Error [-80]: Column has incorrect ORACLE storage format is shown. The expected storage format is not the same as the actual storage format. Changing the storage format from VARCHAR2 to CHAR for the UDESCR field in the table does not help. The same message occurs again. (See below). We were able to fill out the forms, but we were not able to create the actual UAR. It also happened that both forms were empty and no new definition could be created with the same name. When we looked in the database the information about the archives are available in the tables. Has anyone seen the same? Hello We are working on Uniface 10.4.01 on server window 2012 and we want to upgrade the Windows version So, I'm trying to install Uniface 10.4.01  -4 bits) on a server Win2019 and I have an error. I don't understand why Uniface cannot find UORA71, because it is in the directory : C:\\BIOM\\PROGRAM_FILES\\Uniface\\Uniface 10.4.01\\common\\bin which is in the path of the server. Does anyone know why in the conversion from 10.3 to 10.4 some of the forms which used to fit correctly now display scroll bars and have to be resized and (more difficult to manage) a form I have with 4 small output boxes (Progress bar/indicator I want to update asynchronously), now covers the entire output box with a scroll bar unless I make it 2 rows deep? I have checked the 10.3 and 10.4 ini  files, and the font sizes for the canvas font, editfont and label are all the same (although in 10.4 they appear to be surrounded by "" where in 10.3 they are not. I can put up the export for the progress form if anyone wants to try it in their environment.  Regards,  Iain------------------------------Iain SharpHead of Technical ServicesPci Systems LtdSheffield GB------------------------------

I have found that deleting an instance of a component does not release the open cursors that were created during the instance. They remain and are not reused... Even though they are obsolete. Hi FreaksI have just installed UnifAce 10.4.2.0-049 for testing.And the first problem was that encryption for internal, short-term critical content no longer worked. It turned out that $encode/$decode with "TWOFISH" now checks the key length more precisely. Instead of padding the key with zeros(?) the key length must be 16, 24 or 32.In UnifAce 10.4.2.0-018 it could be any key lengthBTW: The documentation about "Block Ciphers"  for UnifAce 10.4.2.0-049 also has a bug.In 10.4.2.0-018 there was still the superscript number 2) which indicated that the length will be padded.In 10.4.2.0-049 there is still a 2, but it is no longer clickable and no longer refers to an explanationIngo------------------------------Ingo StillerAareon Deutschland GmbH------------------------------

With ProcScript code formatting, you can correct or improve your code indentation to increase readability and understanding. You can apply formatting on a selected portion of code using the Format Selection option or format the entire document using the Format Document option, both available from the Code Editor’s popup menu. You can change the shortcut keys for these menu options to your liking in the [USERKEYS] section of the usys.ini file. The default is Alt+F (Selection) and Alt+Shift+F (Document). Formatting rules Indent all code blocks, such as if, endif, while, endwhile, params, variables, etc. It does not indent block data, line continuation in strings, and JavaScript inside proc-script. The Undo (Ctrl+Z) action restores the code to the original state of the code before the formatting action. Code indentation is not currently applicable to the HTML
