Is there a sneaky way to set the valreps in more than one field in the model (in different entities) to a synchronised list? Start improving code quality of existing applications now Exception handling With the introduction of exception handling in Uniface service pack 10.4.02, writing robust and maintainable code has become a lot easier. Exceptions are the same as $procerror; both are caused by a Uniface runtime error. However, what happens after the runtime error occurs differs greatly between classic error handling and exception handling, and has a big impact on the robustness of your code. In the classic situation, the runtime error sets $procerror after which code execution continues. It is the responsibility of the developer to inspect $procerror after every relevant ProcScript instruction to make sure no errors are ignored. Let's be honest, this does not happen... enough! Hi,  I have a requirement where i want to call the components to work parallelly. I did try to create asynchronous instance for the component and activate it, but getting $procerror -161 (Illegal mixture of synchronous and asynchronous communication mode). Code: newinstance/async "COMP_1", comp_inst1newinstance/async "COMP_2",comp_inst2, instances were successfully created. on moving further.activate/async comp_inst1.EXEC()activate/async comp_inst2.EXEC(), $procerror return -161. Hello,Our architecture has a loadbalancer that checks Uniface by sending a HTTP 1.0 request on the main page of our application. It was working fine till Uniface 10.3.03/Tomcat 8.5. When switching to 10.4.02/Tomcat 9.0, Tomcat does  not accept the connexion (Error 400 in the logs).This is on a https connexion.Does anyone know whether we can get Tomcat 9.0 to accept HTTP 1.0 ? Is it possible to use UStartTLSSMTP with a TLS Profile, rather than having to rely on USYS$TLS_PARAMS. Having registered for the Uniface 10 Community Edition via the website, I was able to download and install the IDE but did not receive an email containing an entitlement ID. Consequently I am unable to use it.Can anyone help with this?

Hi Unifacers, Uniface Grid is highly adaptable but its default behaviours are also sometimes important. In a Uniface Grid when a field content is larger than the hosting column size the field content is by default presented:- when Autoselect is OFF => left aligned => User is seeing first part of the content (see 1)- when Autoselect is ON => right aligned => User is seeing last part of the content (see 2) Now the end user is asking to have: Autoselect ON AND content left aligned to initially see first part of the content. (see 3) (To see examples 1, 2, 3: HERE) Explicitely defining LFT for left aligned does not change the grid behaviour; the only solution I  see is to enlarge the hosting column size BUT this is forcing grid scrolling not accepted by the user... I inherited an old Uniface application which has a file in the common\\bin folder called ADF3172.dll. I'm not sure whether this file is part of an earlier release of Uniface (that isn't needed anymore) or something custom developed by someone. I cannot locate the source. The file is not included in the User_3gl section of the assignment file. Our application is currently on version 10.3.02.If it is part of an earlier Uniface release that isn't needed anymore, I will remove it.
