Hello,We are in the process of automating a series of tasks in VS Code, in the tasks.json we defined a couple of tasks. Visual COBOL 11, COBOL .NET, .NET Core -  using methods.When using namespaces why use:       $set ilusing "System.Collections.Generic"Over right clicking on the project, properties ~Namespaces or visa versa?The $set places it in the code vs properties~Namespaces setting it in the project.I think the $set is more visible personally at a developer level, But properies~Namespaces might be better for Pipelines. Rocket has an Enterprise Analyzer Certified Professional - L4XX training course. The start of the course has a hands-on lab for installing a demo workspace. Task 2 step 5 is to “Add sources manually”; the screenshot in step 7 shows this being done from C:\EA Sources\BankDemo\sources, but as far as I can tell, this is not installed with Enterprise Analyzer. (There are some demo files it puts in every workspace but not the full demo.So where is someone taking the class supposed to get the demo files?The training videos several time to go to the “attachment tab”. There is no attachment tab in the training site, as far as I can find. Nor anywhere else with downloads.I happen to have a .zip file with what I think you need, but only due to another case I had with Rocket.My question is: Where is someone taking the class supposed to get the demo sources from? Is this something that was lost in the migration from Open Text to Rocket?

I have @1000 VSAM files all of which hold the same data for different product types.  The first part of the name of the file indicates the product type. For example:   Product1 filename is FD0001.PRODUCT.INFO, Product2 filename is FD0002.PRODUCT.INFO.   These files are to be read by a Cobol program that populates the "FDnnnn" part of the filename.  Is there a way to have only one VSAM file definition in the JCL stream and query the JES catalog to get the right file, or some other way to avoid having a DD statement for all 1000 files?------------------------------Bruce CheatwoodBWXTLynchburg VA US------------------------------

I am trying to call the direct ODBC API from a Visual COBOL program using Visual Studio 2022. I want to know if there are any specific configuration changes required in Visual studio 2022 to make ODBC calls work correctly, especially when linking DLLs that are not part of the same solution. Also, if anyone has a small sample COBOL program that demonstrates how to call ODBC APIs directly (for example: SQLConnect, SQLExecDirect, SQLDisconnect), it would be very helpful. Could you please guide me on the correct setup and share any sample code?

After we upgraded to Zena AEO version 4.5.1.28, we can’t create new view.  When we save the new view, the scheduler keeps spinning (see attached).  Please help.  Thanks.  

Hello, it is me again fighting UOPY.  I need to push a big file, and after multiple testing, I found that I could not push a file bigger than 128K. The process hangs there forever. Is this a Unidata limitation or a UOPY limitation? Is there a way to change this limit? Hi there.Hope you can help!I am trying to setup the profile so that when the user click clone on a tab it will autologin. I have tried recording a macro and then replaying the macro but this just opens a new window without connecting the terminal or logging in.If I go to script editor and press play it works as intended but I need this to work by right clicking the tab and cloning with an autologin. I am running AccuTerm 8.1 standard. Any help much appreciated!!Thanks

Visual Studio 2022, Visual COBOL 11 Update 1. When migrating old native COBOL code to COBOL .NET which has lots of reference modification code you have to sometimes work out something simple as the length of a string.In OO COBOL you had character arrays and you could get “size” or “sizeinbytes”. Hi All,   As part of our ongoing upgrade, we are transitioning the Uniface environment from Uniface 7 (on OpenVMS) to Uniface 10 (on Linux).During this migration, we encountered an issue with a 3GL function that was previously working as expected in the OpenVMS environment. The function is invoked using the following Uniface command:   perform "3glfunction"edit/nowander   This 3GL function is implemented in a .c file located in a Linux directory. Its purpose is to pause the Uniface application until a specified time has elapsed. Once the timer completes, the function uses UPUTAMES to send a response back to Uniface.While this setup worked seamlessly on OpenVMS, it does not function correctly on Linux. The Linux version of the 3GL function uses a timer thread, which is detached after the timer ends. Although UPUTAMES works independently and is capable of sending responses back to the application, it fails to trigger the expected behavior in Uniface-specifically, the form does not displa

Does anyone know if there is documentation on the “*** System error value = # *** errors? I see them pop up in my logs from time to time, but I’m not able to find what they mean in the AcuCOBOL documentation. I’m using 10.5.1 on RHEL if that matters.Thanks for your help!

When creating a new task or process, we create them in Zena Dev and then import them to Zena Prod. In the new process, the "Select Default Agent" list includes all agents from both Zena Prod and Zena Dev environments. However, when creating a new task in the Zena Dev Web Client, the list only displays agents available in the Zena Dev environment. How can we configure the list to include agents from both Prod and Dev environments?  Thanks.The first picture is the Select Agent list for new Task.  There is no zena-p-agent listed.  The second picture is the Select Agent list for new Process.  It includes zena-p-agent.

we are experiencing some strange reactions in Accuterm like : In a Textbox, Multiline, enabled with word wrap.   In the projects properties we have chosen the button that says “ Same as Tab, except for multiline text or command button” on the “traits” tab.    When we use some of these fields (nearly most) when we use the “RETURN BUTTON”  the field did noy simply do a line return but closed the screen down The same type of field on the first screen works ok as expected Grid boxes have problems when using Combo Fields on the first column
