I have a KSDS VSAM file that has been extracted from mainframe and converted to Enterprise Server 10 using the VRECGEN and Classic Data tools utilities.  Currently the Cobol program that reads this file is compiled under “Enterprise COBOL for z/OS”.  When I run the cobol program using a DD statement in the JCL the file opens and retrieves data.I have a need to be able to dynamically supply the file name inside the Cobol program instead of the JCL and have been experimenting with using “ASSIGN TO DYNAMIC” and compiling the program under the “MicroFocus” dialect.  When I try this method to open the file I get a VSAM return code of 39 indicating that the file definition on the server and the definition in the Cobol program don’t match.  Is this related somehow to the VRECGEN process and is there any way to have the DYNAMIC assignment work?Also, my platform is Windows and IDE is Visual Studio.

Does anyone have some experience using WSpell Check with Flexus SP2 screens.WinterTree WSpellLooking for an Rich Text or document field that also works with Flexus SP2. 

This all works correctly with a Linux host of Centos 7 and Rocky Linux 8 but not with Rocky Linux 9. Host: Rocky Linux 9.4, docker 28.2.0 and MF Visual COBOL 6.0 When /var/microfocuslicensing/bin/startboth.sh is run as the docker image starts, lserv starts correctly and mfcesd seems to start but hangs so mfcesdchk fails to communicate with the license server.  A pstack of mfcesd shows: On a Rocky Linux 9 docker image:#0  0x00007fe3acf7c1f7 in close () from /lib64/libc.so.6#1  0x000000000040ab11 in daemonize ()#2  0x000000000040e7b5 in main () It takes over 10 minutes to actually start so that mfcesdchk returns correctly. I am just trying to debug if this is a docker on Rocky 9 issue or inside the mfcesd daemonize code.  Any ideas or trace info that can be turned on while mfcesd is starting up to determine where it is hanging?------------------------------Eric HardestyRocket Software Forum Member------------------------------

Hi community,Plateforme : windows server 2016, uv 14.1.1.1002, Over the past few days, we’ve been experiencing random errors on uv static files. The same error messages appear repeatedly — expected blink 0x0 or 0x10000.These errors can occur up to ten times a day and affect various files (e.g., VOC, XXPROCESS, XXPPP, etc.), the most strange is these files are mainly used for read.... To resolve them temporarily, we use fixtool -fix (at boot uv, else the files are locked). Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this?We’ve already checked our antivirus, but the problem persists.Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated ;) With kind regards Manu

Using AccuTerm 8.1.1.1136 we are connecting to a windows 2022 server running OpenSSH server.  Connection works and we can log in but the AccuTerm escape sequences are hit and miss.For example we can issue the escape sequence to run on the caps lock without issue, but when running the escape sequence to turn off the caps lock nothing happens.  The sequences are “ESC:STX:L” for caps lock on and “ESC:STX:M” for caps lock off.I turned on data capture and can see the correct data getting sent for the caps lock on, but either nothing is sent or the wrong sequence is sent for the caps lock off.We can run “ESC:STX:?”, “ESC:STX:I” and get the correct responses.Trying to change the terminal size to 132 or 80 characters, “ESC:STX:E” and “ESC:STX:N” nothing will happen.We have tried running Bitvise instead of the Windows OpenSSH server and had similar results.Changes to terminal type, character set/code, SSH configurations and more have had no changes.While we are connecting to an OAS instance, I

Hi, We have SSO setup on our iSeries and can use IBM emulators to connect with SSO. While trying to setup Rumba there does not seem to be an option other than a check box under the active security protocols when using the Rumba security service. Is there additional software needed or are there more current instructions other that the 8.0 question that's out there

ESEARCH has been around for a long time, PESEARCH has been designed to expand on / replace the ESEARCH utility to allow Python RegEx Search Patterns and the ability for case insenstive searchs. Installation StepsRemove the .txt extensions from the attachments To install use the attached PESEARCH UniBasic program and Pesearch python function. Compile and Catalog the PESEARCH program.
