HiI saw on documentation that for laptops etc. you can use Ctrl+Shift+F1 as the GOLD key, instead of the '+' key in traditional-not-exists numeric keyboard.I've tried it but it didn't work.How can I make it work? 

I installed Micro Focus Cobol visual 2010 trial for eclipse (windows 32 bit), I added an application that I want to debug COBOL. But after my  EXEC SQL .CONNECT END EXEC and after EXEC SQL INSERT END EXEC, eclipse tells me that as an error: "SQL ERROR 19703 in Connect command and SQL error 10702 in Insert Command". I want to link to a database SQL SERVER 2012 for the application to debug COBOL. I put the directives "SQL(DBMan=ODBC). When I try to put others Directives like INIT,  DB or PASS I can´t . I need some others thing like install ODBC Drivers for SQL Server ? When I do that out the Eclipse ednvironment I connected withw SQL Server and I can see my Databases and my tables there. Hi Guys, we would like to go Paperless  in our Warehouse for our Pick & Pack operations. We currently us SB Client on Windows Laptop and Desktops as the interface to our Business system (IBS from K3), The Business app makes extensive use of F2 and F3 keys and other keyboard input and as such does not lend itself to Touchscreen only use, we currently have any plans to go over to Barcoding at the moment (Thats a long story i shall not bore you with just now) We have as an experiment in our test system, be investigating using small 10" Ruggedised Windows Laptops, for both mobile and for use on Fork Lift trucks. However we are getting significant dropouts from the SB Client Sessions, as we move around the warehouse, We use Meraki for our WIFI and the signal strength from the AP's looks good and we can browse the network and access MS TEAMS, without issue. So this suggests to me that the Meraki's can't currently maintain the transition from one AP to another for the SB Client user sessi

As we continue to support ChangeMan ZMF 8.2 Release, we felt it was important to create a page about the patch update (PU) releases and announcements for new patches as they relate to ChangeMan ZMF 8.2. As a refresher, since the release of Patch Update 5 (PU5) we have removed customizable components from PUs. Only executable components have been part of any PU for the 8.2 release (starting with PU5). This has greatly improved adoptability and provides an easier upgrade path for our customers. We also changed the PU release cadence and moved from a 6 month PU cadence to a more flexible 9-12 month timeframe. This has given customers more time to test as well as stay on a PU longer than before, without having to plan for an upgrade every 6 months. With the new PU cadence, customers have 9-12 months between patch updates to plan for upgrades. A reduction would be useful.When triggering operations in ChgMan (eg Promote Jobs, Stagejobs), a relatively large number of TSO messages (depending on the individual Todo steps of the process) are generated as confirmation / notification about the individual steps.   In our opinion, a message for the submit and a final message per triggered process would be more useful here.   If many of these processes are triggered and you want to continue working, then these numerous messages that you have to constantly click away, can be very disturbing.   You can completely suppress these messages for your own user, but this is not ideal, because then you would be 'blind'.   A 'healthy mix' with fewer messages would be good.

Getting different behavior in cobol version Micro Focus Visual COBOL Development Hub 6.0 and Micro Focus Visual COBOL Development Hub 7.0 when both NOBOUND and SSRANGE set in cobol directive.  I like to know if any changes done in version 7.0 when SSRANGE is set after the NOBOUND directive. I also need understanding of the below description which we got release notes of 7.0 version from the below microfocus link, 00491644 (69551) The NOBOUND directive specified after the SSRANGE option is now correctly respected. I am unable to start one of my servers as I am getting the below message. It is showing that the server is already running.  The server name is IMSSRVR. I am looking for recommendations for tutorials in the form of books (i.e., ebooks or physical) or videos for learning hobbyist level Visual COBOL with the following caveats: The last COBOL program I wrote in the 80s and 90s was on the mainframe with IMS DB/DC and I have never written a COBOL program for my Windows PC which is my target platform. I am NOT interested in learning OO concepts although I realize I'll need enough familiarity for working with forms and components. While I haven't written a COBOL program in 30 years, I have written personal programs for Windows PCs in Visual Basic and Delphi so I have some familiarity with event driven programming. I have Visual COBOL PE installed in Visual Studio 2022 but I am open to switching to Eclipse if that is a new user-friendly platform. This troubleshooting article has been created with the Uniface Community Edition in mind, but it also is applicable for the Windows version of the Uniface Enterprise Edition (version 10.3 and 10.4).In case you encounter the following red error page in the Web Browser with the text "Error Text : Cannot connect to the UNIFACE process on the remote address/port." when trying to start a DSP or USP component (using e.g. the Uniface Community Edition) then this can be caused by different configuration issues on Windows.Possible causes: The URouter Service is not running. An incorrect user name or password is specified in the WRD configuration file web.xml The user that is specified in WRD configuration file web.xml that should start the UServer process does not have the "Log On as a Batch Job" user right.
