There was a wIntegrate update planned for early 2024, but it appears that didn't happen.  I see now a "committed" update, v 6.3.5, for August 2025. Where can I find information on what's included in the update? Oops, sorry, I meant there is a committed update version 6.4.5, that is scheduled for August 2025.  

Hi guys, I have an issue on a customer site that is a Windows 2019 server running Unidata 8.2.1, the workstation is running Windows 11. This is an SB+ site so the users use SBClient (5.5.4). One PC that has been running fine for some time suddenly has a problem were the SBClient is launched, they click Start a Session, it connects to the server, connects to SB+, they enter their SB+ credentials and SBClient  then seems to go into "minimized mode" and will not open. I have tried removing any scripts, deleting and re-creating the profile, re-installing SBClient and even tried installing version 6.5.6 but this problem persists. the user assures me that nothing has changed on that PC. Other users are working fine. This user (with his credentials) works fine on a different PC. Has anyone seen this behaviour before or has any idea what the issue may be? Many thanks Barry---------

I have a few vb apps in place.  My latest one of works in vb 2022 but fails when when I install it in on another computer. I installed the d3client 103.4 on the computer, as well as c++ runtime. Nothing changes. I also installed .net 8 runtime  with the install. I'm interested if anyone uses NFS to store account data remotely, with something like Netapp Files:https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/azure/azure-netapp-files/network-attached-storage-protocols.In my own research of documentation I can see the following:[The ALLOWNFS] parameter should only be turned on in the following cases:- When UniVerse is not running or not installed on the remote system. File integrity is compromised when locks are not maintained on the remote system.- When the system administrator does not allow other UniVerse installations to gain access to the same remote UniVerse files at the same time.So this would seem to indicate we are OK. I think I need to clarify: does local Universe locking still apply when ALLOWNFS is in use (and does this depend on the locking provided by NFS - because capabilities/implementations differ from version to version).

My Rocket TE Secure FTP client is almost unusable.  I think it has something to do with the VMS version numbers. There is a {hh:mm} or {yyyy} in front of each and every remote file.  So, if I download that file to my PC, the filename on my pc will have that {hh:mm} or {yyyy} timestamp in the filename. "X.TXT becomes "05:17 X.TXT". Double-clicking on sub-folders generates an error because subfolder "/DISK3/05:17 TEMP" does not exist. I am teaching a Cobol class and today we downloaded/installed Visual Studio 2022 Community, 17.14.2.  We also installed MicroFocus 2022_100.  No errors appeared but when I create a project, I don't have the int/gnt template I need to create our Cobol program.  Students with an older version of VS 17.12.4 are not having this issue. Is anyone else having problems with "memory access violation" terminating the programs at unpredictable times? We have upgraded a large number of users from 9.1.0 to 10.5.1 in the hope that 10.5.1 was a stable version. The environment is application running on Debian linux (acurcl) with windows thin clients. After migrating to AcuCobol version 10.5.1 we have a problem using page up/down in a grid. We simply miss one line in the bottom using page up and one line in the top when using page down. Displaying a 10 line grid with 50 records will show line 41 thru 50 correctly, but after pressing page up then grid will show line 30 thru 39. So, we miss line 40. Using arrow up/down works fine. Anyone heard of this problem? When I right click on a file name in the VSC explorer window I get the option "Compile selected BASIC programs". Selecting this (when connected to the U2 server) runs compile on the selected program(s) on the server. When I run this from F1 (or assign a keyboard shortcut to it) I get an error message even if focus is on the selected file name(s) in the explorer bar. [Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'forEach')] Is anyone else getting this issue? ------------------------------Stuart BoydellAU------------------------------

In a migration we're performing, we have this difference: we have Cobol programs in Server Express 5.1 and signed variables (not comp); after execution, when viewing the output file, the field displays the sign at the end of the variable. That same program in Visual Cobol 10 generates output but without displaying the sign at the end of the variable (an example is attached). We modified compiler features and resolved the appearance of the sign, but the record length increases. Therefore, we must review the use of this file with the new length. The question is: What parameter do we include in the compiler to correctly generate the record with the sign of the variable without increasing the length?

The Universe UDO... functions handle UDOFORMAT_XML and UDOFORMAT_JSON just fine. Is any effort in progress to extend them to UDOFORMAT_YAML?
