Problem : Uninstall of Enterprise Developer version 6.0 may result with  “Error 0x80070643 - serious error during installation”.   Resolution : This can occur due to various reasons, one being a known issue and is being included in the next major product version (7.0). It is recommend to contact the Support team to help confirm this, but in the meantime you can consider the following workaround instructions:   Backup "C:\\Windows\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\v4.0.30319\\Config\\machine.config" And "C:\\Windows\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework64\\v4.0.30319\\Config\\machine.config" Replace these using the attached files. Uninstall Enterprise Developer. Restore backed up versions. Files-mc_ed60.zip#EnterpriseDeveloper#MFDS

Problem : Source files containing embedded hex open in a binary editor if using Visual Studio, making viewing/editing difficult. If double clicking the source from the Solution Explorer view it will attempt to open the source in the Eclipse IDE (if installed).    Resolution : -From the Visual Studio Solution Explorer view, right-click on the file and select Open With...-Select Source Code (Text) Editor With Encoding from the list.-Choose an encoding, for example Western European (Windows) - Codepage 1252.-Now the source file can be opened in Visual Studio, however, this would need to be done every time the file is opened.-Alternatively, choose Unicode (UTF-8 with signature), this will add the BOM (byte order mark) when the file is saved so subsequent opens are automatic. #MFDS#EnterpriseDeveloper

Is there a good way to check whether an occurrence is deletable (i.e. check its relationship constraints), without having to change the code manually any time a new constraint is added?We are currently getting error messages in our server log files, indicating that the record cannot be deleted because there is a 'down' entity with the restriction on delete. There are other down entities with cascade or nullify relationships, so simply checking whether any of them have data (using INNERENTITIES on a loop) won't do it unless we can also find their relationship status in proc code. Thanks Iain

Hi Unifacers,I've spent one full day behind this to find the right combination to have it working.Could anyone explain if there is/are any specific technical reason(s) because status of a grid widget is NOT saved to registry when a column/field defined into visible part of the entity is going to be hidden either with:- VISIBLE more attribute set (static, old mode)- $columnsyntax(fieldName) = "HID"- collapsing a column to size equal zero via grid user interfaceColumnSize = 0, in a way or another, is just a real useful option, a concrete use case, depending from application objects state. It should be NOT too difficult to save value 0 for a columnName, restoring it directly hidden next time. A small utility managing the registry could enable to restore columns hidden by mistake.Regards,Gianni

Hi I am getting the error 173 - Called program file not found in drive/directory SQLADR when running the simple cobol. I included the below command of Additional Directives of Project Properties as my database is Oracle 19c Enterprise Edition 64 bit. I am using Micro Focus Eclipse for Windows.p(cobsql) CSQLT=ORACLE8 MAKESYN VERBOSE KEEPCBL END-C p(cp) ENDP ENDP litlinkAlso I linked the file  Orasql12.lib file through Project Properties > Additional Link files. I am new to Micro Visual Eclipse. So I followed the instructions in MicroFocus website. But I am still getting the error. Please let me know if i am missing anything. Thanks in advance.

I am trying to compute pointwise mutual information PMI RMP training using wikipedia as data source. Given two words, PMI defines the relation between two words. The formula is as below. pmi(word1,word2) = log [probability(number of times both words appears in a document together)/probability(word1)*probability(word2)]. Hence to compute PMI, I would need joint and individual probabilities of word1 and word2. I looked at the wikipedia miner relatedness score between two words. They are implementing a Milne and Witten algorithm. However, for defining topic similarities, PMI is a better score. Hi,We are migrating our client-server application in Uniface 9.7 to Uniface 10.3. Everything was ok as we were following the steps published on the uniface site but, after the purchase by Rocket, all those links have disappeared. Is there any way of having them back? I know most of the information is in the Uniface Help but having them on the web was quite useful and made more simple having more than one page opened with different information on each of the tabs.

Hello everyone. We had to move our network drive from Win server 2003 onto Windows 2008 recently and during that move, the user that are on windows 7 are now getting a Runtime error 09/013 when trying to print. Before the move, they were able to print without any problem to a network printer or a local printer (LPT1)However I have a few workstation that are still on Windows XP and they are able to print just fine. The cobol program was all done in Netexpress 4.0 First I would like to mention that I am not a expert cobol programmer however can compile and resolve issue within cobol.
