I would like to use the SourceEdit widget in a component that I want to use as a worksheet in the ide.

I am trying to "Wean" off our programs that use the old Wang VSSUBS. These VSSUBS were created by Unicon years ago when we converted our programs form Wang to Microfocus. This one is "PUTPARM". This will basically create a Temp Area (Value = COMPCODE) that then can be accepted into other programs. I have included AR07.TXT that will create\\change the putparm value and here is the portion of the program that has the accept in it.  CALL "ACCEPT" USING"COMPCODE" COMPCODE.Any Ideas?

This article explains an ASLM message received when a shared memory has been modified by an outside entity. Problem: Applications involving Oracle and Tuxedo, have been  historically vulnerable to an ASLMF shared memory problem. After upgrading  to Server Express 4.0 applications can fail with the following error message: ASLM: A shared memory area used by Apptrack licensing has been corrupted or deleted, and your system will need to be rebooted. This message is different than the historical error message "ASLM:shm open failed error code 1025" but still means that ASLMF's shared memory was modified by an outside entity. Resolution: If the error persists under Server Express 4.0 further investigation will be required, however you should check: Tuxedo administration/support team using "ipcrm" command to forcibly clean the hung processes.Be sure to examine Oracle, Tuxedo, and system administration practices to find the outside entity

Our application runs on Windows server using AcuGT version 9.1.2.1, with Windows clients.  We are using Vision files, and now have some customers requesting the ability to do real-time hot backups (real-time server replication of data).Since Vision files do not support VSS, we are considering two options:1) using SQL database instead of Vision files - this is a fair amount of work, and requires new knowledge for our developers and support team, as we do not use SQL today for any applications.  Our testing has also shown a performance hit with SQL, which makes sense but could become an issue in large customer sites, which of course are the ones most interested in a hot-backup solution.  We do file updates automatically as part of our software updates today, adding SQL tables makes this more complex, especially when adding VSS replication.2) creating our own "replication", by creating transaction files for each record update in critical files, which would be proc

Status: DeclinedThis item has not received any further votes for inclusion in the past 12 months since tthe last update.This suggestion is especially useful for any shops that have a baseline load library connected to something like a CICS region.We had a situation years ago where an attempt to scratch components from a baseline load library resulted in the 30-job waiting for data sets, needed to be cancelled, and resubmitted with DISP=SHR.  The issue is that the CMN30DEL (as well as CMN30REN) use DISP=OLD to do the deletion (or rename) of members of the target library.I'm not sure why DISP=OLD is being used in the CMN30DEL and CMN30REN ISPF skeletons, but would a better solution be to use DISP=SHR combined with the CMN$$ENQ skeleton to prevent multiple jobs from updating a given library at the same time?  This would eliminate the issue with the 30-job waiting on data sets because of other resources that are outside of ChangeMan ZMF control.#DataSetUpdateSerialization#DataSet

If you are having communications issues, you can see some of the internal communication messages that are generated by iCluster behind the scenes to assist in problem resolution. Just create a new message queue on the node that appears to be having the problem called DMKMSGQ in the iCluster product library (almost always ICLUSTER). CRTMSGQ MSGQ(ICLUSTER/DMKMSGQ) MSGQFULL (*WRAP) Then after a period of time, use DSPMSGQ DMKMSGQ to display the messages and send them to support. You can keep the message queue active if you like or delete it once the problem is solved. I remember Connectivity Hub (RACH) was part of Rocket Mobile solution where the apps could be uploaded and shared whatever with general users or with company's internal users. Also it had very powerful features like device identification, so in case a device with a sensitive app was lost or stolen, we could disable the app access on that specific device. Now we have MVIS and more mobile apps can be developed to empower company's users but these apps don't need to be published either in Google Play or Apple Store because they are important only for internal use or specific customers.So this is the idea, turn Connectivity Hub into a company's private Apps Store where apps could be uploaded, managed and shared with company's users or specific customers. It has been very frustrating when the changed Universe 12.1.1 to no allow updating indexes while people are accessing the file. This worked before from 9.6 to 11.3.1 but not 12.1.1. We have clients that run 24/7 and we have to stop our Web-based applications running under Apache Tomcat, make sure no one is using our Eclipse IDE tools and kill any phantom jobs before you use CREATE.INDEX.
