Hello,I come again to ask for your help to convert a program to Cobol.There is a version in C # and VB.Attached is the complete solution with both languages.There is a .bat file in both Tutorial folders that generates the solution to be used.Within the solution the program I need is pr04_analyze.I think that what I send allows me to do what I need.Thank you again for your help.Best regards,Alberto Ferraz

Good Morning I have the following problem: I have a server with W10 and my programs installed on it (runcobol v.11, 5 users). I have 2 more computers with w10. if I run the query from one of the network computers, everything is fine. But if I run the same query on both workstations, the second computer that runs it slows down tremendously.I have verified that the problem is that the 2 computers access the same file that has been opened.  I have removed firewall and antivirus and it does not fix the problem. What I can do? 

We have a .NET DLL that we use from our regular application without issue (using wrun32 on Windows).When we try to access it from the same program run with the console runtime (crun32), it throws a memory violation.I'm guessing the console runtime doesn't support calling a .NET DLL - can any Acu guru confirm that for me?(Using 9.1.2.1 Windows runtime).ThanksTony

Hi All.I have the IBM Open Enterprise Python 3.8 for z/OS installed and I am now trying to install the z/OS Miniconda. After I have executed command "./miniconda-py37-zos-2020-10-01.run --path /usr/RocketSW/miniconda/" everything looked good until the " installing extra_pkgs to the base env" phase. We have received a file that was created on an IBM system using the IBM CPYTOPCD command, Translation table = *NONE, Format of PC data =*NOTEXT. Our information indicates that this command copies a system database file to a PC Document. The file is created on a QSYS file system on an I Series IBM. The output file is iin EBCDIC and containes TEXT, ZONED, and PACKED data, mixed in each record. We are able to convert the TEXT and ZONED data just fine but can not get accurate data out of the PACKED data.The PACKED data is defined in the file layout document as PACKED 9 2We define the data as PIC S9(7)V9(2) COMP-3. in our input record and as PIC S9(7)V9(2) SIGN TRAILING SEPARATE.In the PROCEDURE section, we do the following: ADD "PACKED ITEM NAME" TO ZERO GIVING "TEXT ITEM NAME"We get a "good" number and sign but the number is not correct.An example: Display of "PACKED ITEM NAME" = 27??6.71, Display of "TEXT ITEM NAME" = 2856.71. We need to update LCSNAME due to the way we're having to do our upgrade.  Unfortunately, we only have the binary .cob file.  Does anyone have the source or a way to decompile the .cob file?I appreciate any assistance,Linda Praed

I installed RM / COBOL Runtime Version 12.17 on Suse Linux Enterprise Server 15 and when running runcobol it gives the following message "runcobol: error while loading shared libraries: libncurses.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" .Suse Linux Enterprise Server 15 contains the following libraries:"./lib64/libncurses.so.6./lib64/libncursesw.so.6./lib64/libncurses.so.6.1./lib64/libncursesw.so.6.1 "Is there any RM / COBOL Runtime update or is it not compatible with Suse Linux Enterprise Server 15?

Hi all,I am a bit concerned seeing how much diskspace git 2.26.2-78 uses.When I have installed miniconda the `~/miniconda` directory uses approx. 508MBNow after having installed git: `conda install -c zoss-appdev git` which includes ```curl: 7.66.0-1 zoss-appdev expat: 2.2.9-4 zoss-appdev git: 2.26.2-pl524_78 zoss-appdev libtag: 1.4-1 zoss-appdev perl: 5.24.4-4 zoss-appdev``` the `~/miniconda` directory uses approx 1.6GB disk space.Looking at the Rocket Ported Tools I find curl   202MBperl 128MBgit 164MBIf I sum this up I get approx 490MB.As I cannot see that expat and libtag utilize much diskpace I am asking myself why git 2.26.2-78 uses so much diskspace. Before we discuss the command, let's discuss what an 'out of sync' (OOS) condition is.  An OOS is the result of a Synchronization Check run that resulted in a list of exceptions.  A Synchronization Check (SC) is a special process that compares attributes or contents (depending on the SC parameters) of objects selected for replication.  When a difference is detected, the objects are flagged as OOS.  Remember that this OOS exception list does not mean the object(s) are not replicating or in an error state.  It means that during the most recent SC, some aspect did not match.  Those specific exception conditions can be reviewed in more detail, but that is for a different post.  To be provided with the most accurate SC results, replication should be operating smoothly and in a condition of low latency at the time of the SC run.If the SC has resulted in a list of possible exceptions, we can see the results from the monitor and dive deeper using option 8 (Object Status) and take some correcti
