We are surveying to see what code page can be used within Rocket Uniface 10.4 EE and the Oracle database (version 19c). In doing so, we would like to be able to use the euro sign and diacrites such as ä, ë, è, é, ç, etc.   In the current situation, Rocket Uniface 10.3 EE (in combination with an Oracle database) is installed with 'Western European (CP1252-ISO 8895-1)'. If we understood correctly, this code page may not translate all diacritics correctly.   Basically, we want to go to Unicode (UTF-8) for both Rocket Uniface and the Oracle database server.   Does anyone have experience with this or know the correct setup of the ASN files?------------------------------Richard de VriesDeveloperWaard Verzekeringen BVWognum NL------------------------------

It is not always obvious to customers exactly where the initial attributes assigned to ERO Release Area datasets are defined. Helllo We have IT security audit team asking a question on a user profile named ICA which belongs to iCluster product release 9.1.1 that is running in IBM i 7.4. This user profile has all high authorities in the system but it owns no objects and is never used at all. The question is what is this user ICA for (in other words when is it used) in iCluster environment?   The IT security team is aiming at deleting any user profile that is extraneous.  Is ICS an extraneous one? I know and can explain iCluster's users DMCLUSTER and ICLUSTER but have no idea on this ICA user. I had a report of deleting some records from MYFILE was taking longer than it should. Hi We have created a REST API with a uniface component. This API calls some services to extract data from the database. When the service is called from the API (so running with userver), the 'select' is made on [table.model] table in the MSS database, so MSS returns that the object name is invalid Example : select [pcli_cd] from [pclient.parametres] where 1=0 When the service is called from a standard client/server form, the 'select' is made on [table] table in the MSS database Example : select [pcli_cd] from [pclient] where 1=0 My question is : how to avoid the model name to be added to the table name ? Our Universe database stores its data using OEM encoding, so to pass data to Python we do a series of transformations inside Basic to convert them to UTF-8. Other than using the LIST.INDEX command to see if an Index build is required, are there any other tools available to determine if an Index is in-sync with the data file? Starting to build this env. to support RocketCE for Power and got the following ?'s  Downloaded -- Anaconda3-2023.09-0-Linux-ppc64le.sh   REHL 9.3 LE   On install of Anaconda -- this is how we will be using    -- we will have 3-4 users using wither gitlab runners to deploy their code or signon on directly to the lpar using ssh and run their code  so ..       -- For other WML CE users, reply "yes" to allow the installer to update the .bashrc file. If you have DX'd an FSI account, the QS pointer probably still exists in the VME's MDS. This can cause a problem with RESTORE-ACCOUNTS as it will create the DX'd account, restore the data from the account following it on the tape, then not restore that following account as itself. Example: you have an account called test followed immediately by an account called orders. You DX the test account and do a file save. You delete the accounts and do a RESTORE-ACCOUNTS. test will exist with the orders account's content and the orders account will not exist. Note that this affects RESTORE-ACCOUNTS but does NOT affect ACCOUNT-RESTORE, so if you stumble on this, you can delete any erroneous accounts and ACCOUNT-RESTORE FSI:<missing account> and you'll be good. Doing a d3vme /fileload is not affected either. Please note that Engineering is aware of this issue and currently working on a resolution. Had to switch to Rocket TE Web Edition.  The javascript seems to have some propriatary function. Where can I find some sample scripts for: 1. paste to an external document, such as notepad. Figured out how to copy and copy append the screen details to the clipboard; 2. run through a list of items.  I can travel the different screens but want to have it process each item in the list through a javascript.   I've searched the form and can't find anything.  Was using to use bluezone app & had lots of vb scripts not those no longer work since moving to Rocket TE WE.  We don't have the addon for vb script, only have the one for javascript.
